My eldest brother, Gideon's, all-time favourite cake is a Marmite tart....
My mom has made it since we were kids (I never ate it because I don't like Marmite 🤣🙈). Last year my mom wasn't here to make his Marmite tart, so I reinvented it into a cake with cream cheese and biltong icing and decorated it with chilli bites, biltong, droëwors, nuts and pretzels.
This year I was privileged enough to make it again for his 40th birthday! I think it might just be his birthday wish for years to come 😉
