Even harder to spot. A fairly rare sighting of a jackal. They used to be so plentiful, but now, not so much! 😟😟

Kudu camouflage. They just stand still, and are so hard to spot.

Black headed Oriole has the most beautiful call. This one was in a tree just near me.

Despite 43 deg heat, these bokkies were running around all over the place! In full flight.

So love the bushveld birds! Especially this little kingfisher, the Woodland Kingfisher and its characteristic call!

Fish eagle surveys the landscape for food.

Just got back from an exhausting two-week tour! Exhilarating, but tiring. Rather like this lion (one of three) resting after a long night's hunt!

German security strike has just forced Lufthansa to cancel Weds flight to SA. My tourists . . .
