We ended our day at Lesedi Cultural Village, a vibrant showcase of Southern Africa’s diverse cultures and traditions. The village was alive with the sounds and flavours, providing an immersive experience rich in heritage.

ATTENTION: Starting in November 2024, the EU will introduce a new Entry/Exit System (EES) for non-EU nationals, including travelers with British and USA passports going to and from the Schengen area. Please note that South African passport holders are not part of this change and will still need to apply for a Schengen visa as usual. The EES is a digital system that will eliminate passport stamps by electronically recording your entry and exit details. When you enter the Schengen area, you will have your fingerprints and photo taken. If you're traveling from the UK through Dover, the Eurotunnel at Folkestone, or St Pancras International, this will happen before you leave the UK. When you return, you’ll need to provide either your fingerprint or photo when leaving.
Please be aware that wait times at the border may increase as the new system is implemented. It's a good idea to plan for extra time when traveling.

Yesterday, Lucille had the pleasure of joining two wonderful women from New York on the Classic Cradle Tour, which was an enriching experience filled with historical marvels and breathtaking landscapes. Following the tour, we immersed ourselves in a captivating cultural experience at Lesedi, where we were treated to a delightful traditional dinner. It was truly a day filled with awe-inspiring moments and unforgettable memories.

Yesterday was absolutely incredible as we spent the day with the Wilson Family from the UK at Glen Afric. We embarked on a thrilling mini safari and had an unforgettable elephant experience.

Despite the rainy weather, the Austrian family thoroughly enjoyed exploring Cape Town, South Africa during the final days of their visit.

During the final days of their visit to South Africa, our Austrian family has thoroughly enjoyed exploring the stunning Garden Route. Yesterday, they arrived in the lively city of Cape Town and are enjoying every moment of their time there before heading home.

After an exhilarating seven-day tour with a delightful family from Austria, Lucille bid them farewell as they departed Johannesburg for their next adventure in South Africa. They ventured to the renowned Kruger National Park, where they were fortunate to encounter the big 5 on an early morning game drive. They also enjoyed the Skyway Trails’ Aerial Cable Trail is set in one of the last remaining natural forested valleys along the Sabie River. Following their Kruger Park exploration, they will commence their expedition along the Garden Route. Stay tuned for further updates on their experiences before they return home on the 28th.

Our seven-day journey with the Austrian family came to an end on Friday. Our week was filled with exciting adventures, culminating in a visit to the bird park at Monte Casino and a peaceful time at the beautiful Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens. They are now off to the Kruger National Park, and we wish them safe travels.

This week, we had the heartwarming experience of hosting two extraordinary brothers, Jurrien and Matthijs, from the Netherlands. Together, we visited the TLC children's home, which holds a special place in their hearts as it is where their cousin was adopted many years ago. After this meaningful visit, we traveled to Soweto where we tried and thoroughly enjoyed the local cuisine. Their adventure will continue with visits to a game reserve, then on to Eswatini (Swaziland), and their final destination will be Kwa Zulu Natal. Wishing them safe and memorable travels on their enriching journey.

Sunday, we had the pleasure of hosting a lovely young couple, David and Michelle from Luxembourg, on a safari in the Pilanesberg. We were fortunate enough to spot the Big 5 before lunch. Our safari journey started at Bakubung Gate. Despite the prevailing dry conditions and the urgent need for rain, the landscape remained stunningly spectacular. Our driver guide, Lizzy, on the open vehicle safari, was truly exceptional, showing remarkable passion and dedication. It was truly an incredible experience, and Lucille even got to see her first leopard in its natural habitat.

Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting Dick and Jackie from Oregon, USA. Despite facing various challenges such as travel restrictions due to Covid and other unexpected events, they finally managed to make their long-awaited trip, which they originally planned five years ago. During their stay, we took them to visit the renowned Apartheid Museum, explored Soweto on a guided tour. The next day was spent learning about geology, cave formation and the fossilization process in the region on the Classic Cradle Tour. We ended the day the Mandela Square before they headed off on their next exciting destination is Uganda.
