Dr. van Rooy recently presented a thought-provoking lecture titled "Teaching with the brain in mind" as part of the FLY@NAS event series. Her talk delved into the ways in which the brain uses sensory information to make sense of our surroundings and how this impacts our ability to learn effectively. As educators, it is crucial that we adapt our teaching methods to accommodate the way our students' brains process information.

Dr. van Rooy's lecture focused on the physiology of learning and offered practical insights into how we can help our students focus on the most important information while filtering out distractions. By understanding how the brain works, we can tailor our teaching strategies to enhance the learning experience for our students.
