We had the honour of welcoming members of the Bonner family, Premier Steve Miles and Minister Grace Grace to Queen’s Wharf Brisbane today. Prior to The Star Brisbane opening tomorrow, the Neville Bonner Bust was revealed to proudly overlook the Neville Bonner Bridge. The Bust was displayed at Queensland Parliament awaiting its new home at Queen’s Wharf after originally welcoming guests to the Neville Bonner Building until 2016. The pedestrian only bridge will be open from early morning on Thursday 29 August. We are looking forward to welcoming you to Brisbane’s newest entertainment precinct.

It’s the news you’ve all been waiting for. Queen’s Wharf Brisbane and The Star Brisbane will open from 29 August. The Star Grand hotel, restaurants and venues within , the Sky Deck viewing deck and transformed riverfront spaces. In the following weeks and months a host of venues and areas throughout the precinct will continue to open for you to explore and enjoy. Green spaces now go beyond the expressway, heritage buildings are being restored and preserved, and Brisbane now has an iconic entertainment precinct like no other. Brisbane was given a stunning taste of what is to come when The Star Brisbane opens at Queen's Wharf Brisbane. A kaleidoscope of colours was beamed during the test from 350 led light pillars across 10 levels of the river facing façade. Its set to become a night-time spectacle with the ability to scroll words and project dramatic artistic displays, which can be viewed from clearly from South Bank.
Queen’s Wharf Brisbane has come in at #1 of Brisbane’s Top 15 Developments for 2024 according to the team at Development.

As we work towards its opening later this year, has produced a fantastic look back at what it took to construct such an icon venue in the heart of a busy CBD. 100m up, 3 technically challenging lifts, 1,000s of tonnes of steel and it looks amazing.

Queen’s Wharf Brisbane, with The Star Brisbane at its heart, is set to transform the CBD when it commences a staged opening from August this year. The entertainment precinct will be a drawcard for the city’s residents and tourists that will enjoy 7.5 hectares of refreshed and newly created public space. This includes The Landing, a newly created over the river green space with grassy knolls and terraces perfect for lazy weekends or evening events.
In a big year for Queen’s Wharf Brisbane, the Neville Bonner Bridge now links two of the city’s largest precincts, the Sky Deck structure now connects all four towers creating a unique 100m high playground with unparalleled views of the city, The Star Grand fitout is well underway and excitement is bubbling following the unveiling of ’s first restaurants and bars on the Sky Deck, as well as those within the resort. 2024 is shaping up to be a year to remember for Brisbane.
The design of Queen’s Wharf Brisbane was carefully considered to reflect and capture light as the sun sets. Sky Deck at within the Queen's Wharf Brisbane precinct will be serving up unforgettable moments in the sky come 2024. Soaring 100 metres above Brisbane, Sky Deck is set to become Australia’s newest sky-high playground, and home to: signature restaurant Aloria, where dry-aged beef and succulent seafood are the stars of the show; Babblers, a relaxed dining experience serving perfectly imperfect home-made delights; and Cicada Blu, an open-air bar that moves to the rhythm of the city.

Here’s a first look inside The Star Brisbane - the entertainment hub of the 12-hectare precinct which will transform Brisbane as we know it. The Star’s signature luxury hotel, a sprawling Sports Bar, and a reimagined Fat Noodle restaurant by celebrity chef .
The final section of the iconic Sky Deck has been installed. Now sitting proudly 100m above William St, the Sky Deck will host up to 1,500 people and showcase the best views of Brisbane. With two restaurants and a hero bar it’ll be the place to be come April 2024.
This amazing image taken from our time-lapse camera atop of QPAC has come to light. Three lightning strikes captured at once during an April storm was great timing, enhancing what is already a stunning view.
The towers continue to climb, shown in this photo from April, at with the Dorsett/Rosewood tower (right) nearing full height while the Sky Deck continues to take shape. The final piece of Sky Deck (in Blue) can be seen atop the podium in readiness for its slide and lift into place (in the coming months) between Dorsett/Rosewood tower and The Star Grand thus completing the iconic crescent shape.
Perched 100 metres above the Brisbane River with views stretching from the CBD out to Moreton Bay, the Sky Deck will become one of Brisbane’s great public tourism and entertainment experiences and a must-visit attraction for Queensland. The 250-metre rooftop runway of restaurants and bars is anticipated to be one of the most photographed locations in Brisbane. With views like this, its easy to see why.

The Sky Deck was a major focus during March with the instalment of the 2nd Sky Deck link between The Star Grand hotel and the Queen’s Wharf Residences towers. The time-lapse shows concrete pours completing in the Sky Deck area between the river facing towers 2&3, where guests will enjoy amazing views 100m above Brisbane’s streets. The Neville Bonner Bridge, which connected in late February, can be seen in the background. The Residences tower is jumping floors regularly and now sits at level 42, over 160m high.
Excitingly, Brisbane’s Sky Deck is taking shape. The second Sky Deck link bridge was installed at 100m recently. Running parallel to Margaret St it now joins The Star Grand hotel to Queen’s Wharf Residences tower. As work continues preparing the third and final link, the time-lapse shows the massive 220 tonne section being safely slid and lifted into place. Quite the engineering feat thanks to . Keep your eyes on the sky for the installation of the next section that will complete the 250m long crescent shape of Brisbane’s future most sought after selfie spot.
The Neville Bonner Bridge now joins the South Bank Cultural Forecourt to the CBD via Queen's Wharf Brisbane's dining and retail level. When the bridge opens with the Integrated resort, around 10,000 crossings are expected each day as this new pedestrian connection brings the CBD closer to South Bank.
