We’re a local WA pharmacy brand in search of a Marketing Coordinator to transform our social media and content calendar for the better.

Our stores are a fusion of nutrition, preventative health and holistic medicine as well as general pharmacy practice. We’re firm believers that prevention is better than cure and that food can act as medicine, so we attract patients who have an active interest in wellness and self-care. We have two pharmacies located in the heart of Dunsborough and another in the hub of Fremantle.

You will:
Work closely with the owner to drive all marketing activities
Coordinate marketing for three community pharmacies located throughout WA
Coordinate content across websites, EDM, social media and other engagement channels
Oversee and coordinate the annual marketing calendar
Drive team engagement in marketing activities and initiatives
Influencer marketing and collaborations coordination

Analytical monthly reporting
Liaise with agencies for coordination of SEO and other campaigns

The boxes you will tick:

Bachelor of Marketing/Communications related discipline
At least 2-3 years experience in a relevant role
Marketing experience working within either healthcare or small business
Experience in using Canva, MailChimp, WordPress or Shopify
Social media coordination experience- TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram
Excellent written and verbal skills, with an eye for detail
Ability to work independently
Driver’s license with ability to travel as necessary

Seeking a Dispense Technician.

Generally, in a pharmacy, the pharmacists get to call the shots. Well whilst they may get the glory, we all know the true powerhouse in the dispensary is the Dispensary Technician.

When the going gets tough it's the Dispensary Technician that let’s be honest, puts in the hard yards to make the pharmacist look good.

So, if you super neat, and super organised, and have super high standards you may be just the superhero we are looking for.

You will work with a supportive team of pharmacists (usually two) who promise to jump when you say jump.

You and they are backed up by Herman the German (our ROWA Robot) who will work tirelessly to pander to your every request for stock.

Your duties will include dispensing, ordering, special order management, PBS claim preparation and dispensary stock control.

If you have the Dispensary humming smoothly you will be rewarded with the undying gratitude of the pharmacists and the occasional thank you coffee and an above award wage if you have the experience.

It's a challenging fast paced role, one fit for a superhero. Probably best suited to a superhero with dispensary pharmacy experience (no L plates please) so please SHARE if you aren't up for the role but you know someone who is perfect!

Before heading to the big smoke and his first nursing position, he is hoping to practice his nursing skllls and give lots of COVID booster injections in the next few weeks.

The team at Dunsborough Pharmacy could feel the anxiety levels rising.....

How? Because on a day-by-day basis the number of staff that were verbally abused was growing.

Not one, two but sometimes three or more times a day. This is an unprecedented increase.

In the last 3 days, we have had at least four team members in tears and come close to quitting because customers feel it is their right to download their anger and frustration with the COVID situation and vent at the staff. No one deserves to be made to cry in their workplace.

As a team, we totally understand your anxiety and your fear, because let’s be honest we all feel it at some level about the situation that is about to unfold in our state.

We are dealing as best we can with issues of delayed stock, huge demand for boosters and until today, a large holiday population. Our phones are ringing off the hook, asking about boosters, vaccines, rapid antigen tests and other out of stock items. We are short staffed because the borders are closed and we have lost team members because of the vaccine mandate and no-one wants to work in a high COVID risk environment like pharmacy.

THIS HAS TO STOP.

As a pharmacist and owner, my duty of care is to the community AND to the welfare of my team, and I say we've had enough.

My team were drawn to working in a pharmacy because they CARE about people. They are kind, soft and generous souls who bend over backwards to help if they can. They can only take so much and there is a long road ahead, with worse is still to come.

The line is being drawn in the sand.

If you cannot behave in a calm and pleasant manner you will be asked to leave the pharmacy.

Be pleasant and kind and it will be returned many fold.

Early this evening we were advised by the Health Department that we are a LOW RISK covid exposure site.

The postive person visited our store very briefly on Sunday 23rd January.

All staff have been advised to monitor for symptoms and test if any arise.

We ask all customers who have visited us since this time to do the same.

Rest assured we will always remain OPEN to provide essential medication and supplies.

We have taken all safe and responsible precautions to ensure we remain low risk during these difficult times including REGULAR covid cleaning through the day, mask wearing, customer flow restrictions and Perspex screening.

We ask that you all continue to check-in and wear masks when entering our store.

We please ask that you all maintain safe social distancing and good hand hygiene while in the store.
