A recent visit to the Sanctuary, Stuart from MOD Fitness 24/7 met Mod up close and personal! Mod is our oldest Tasmanian devil onsite having turned 6 back in March and is one of a very few select animals that is happy to be handled 😍

Joint at the hip, Mod (left) and Nala (right) have one of the strongest bonds at the Sanctuary, often seen snuggling up and sunning together. Today is a special day though, as it's Mod's 6th birthday! In true Mod style, these girls are enjoying it with a late sleep in cuddled up together and will soon attend a meaty feed for 4, joined by fellow enclosure mates Rayne and Neptune. Don't party to hard Mod! 😅🥳

Our Beautiful Mod and her friends!

💫 Mod

Mod is one of our senior ladies who's known for ruling the roost in any and every enclosure! She's had a history of 'throwing her weight around' and having to be housed with males so she doesn't dominate, sometimes it worked and sometimes she just got the best of them anyway 😂

Mod seems to have relaxed a little in her senior years, currently being housed with some of her besties down in the retirement home. You can see her here on the left hand side sharing quite nicely with Nala and Bellevue 🥰

Mod's a very lucky devil, she's been sponsored for her whole life by Mod Fitness from the Gold Coast, they have been actively involved in her sponsorship and make a special trip every year to come and see her!
