Malaysia is a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural land with Malays, Chinese, Indians and Orang Asli/Indigenous people. Consequently, the food is influenced by many different cuisines.

This deep-fried barramundi with soy sauce is a Malaysian Chinese dish, which used a Cantonese-inspired dressing of ginger, fried garlic, spring onion and sweet soy sauce to highlight the flavour of the great Aussie fish.

The word fish in Chinese means wealth and prosperity, so that's how the idea of serving whole fish coming from. Fried bones also make it crispy outside but tender inside and easy to get the meat out of the fishbone. Recommend drench the soy sauce with the fish. Sedap Gila! (crazily delicious in Malay)🤩🤩😍😍😋😋
