So, 2024 has begun with seven of the most ridiculously talented young actors/singers I’ve mentored heading off to their next chapter.

Griffin McLaughlin, Harry Ortuso, Grace Simonetis and Jorja Geeves to WAAPA. Madi Edwards to National. Eliza Topham to Sydney Conservatorium and Amelia Howell to VCA.

The best part of my job is seeing each of you reach new depths and heights with your work.

The worst is saying goodbye.

Amelia was the last to say farewell (today) after a decade of intensive work in my studio. Thank you for letting me be your other mum and for trusting me with your voice. Gosh, we got there, huh. 🥺

You’ll all be missed. Do good things. You know how much I love you ❤️

Hi All

If you have started the year with ideas about a creative project (music, writing, theatre, film, visual art), have you thought about working with a mentor to keep your project on track?

I work with a number of creatives across Tasmania and around Australia, bringing projects to life by breaking the process into parts, creating a timeline and being there to talk through obstacles and challenges that arise along the way.

If this sounds like something you’d like to discuss, I am offering one-on-one sessions in my Salamanca studio or via zoom to listen to your ideas and explore strategies.

Dream big!

Hannah ❤️

“All that pink you’re wearing. Is that even legal?” Introducing Hannah Gardner and Olivia Goerss as VIVIENNE! These girls will take you on a journey with this character, with lots of sass along the way, of course!

We asked Hannah and Olivia to tell us what they think is Vivienne’s snarkiest line from the show:

- Hannah: “Run home, Elle, and change out of your skank costume.”

- Olivia: “Someday, we’ll nominate Supreme Court justices… and you’ll… tan.”

Holly ❤️

“I'm too busy loving my name up on that list!” Introducing Holly Ward and Lexie Lethborg as ELLE WOODS. We LOVE these two dynamic leading ladies and we know you will too!

We asked our Elles to tell us their fave Elle Woods quote from the show:

- Holly: My fave quote is when Warner questions Elle about her getting into Harvard and she responds, “What, like it’s hard?”

- Lexie: Ooh maybe “Whoever said tangerine is the new pink is seriously disturbed.”

Harry ❤️

“I’ve got some dreams to make true!” Introducing Harry Ortuso and Joseph Mione as WARNER! These guys are super slick in this role - better watch that they don't break your heart!

We asked our Warners to tell us about their childhood dream:

- Harry: I wanted to be a Zoo Keeper, so I could live in a treehouse like Bindi Irwin, and live with lions haha.

- Joseph: I always wanted to be a superhero, but realising that wasn’t possible, I settled for wanting to be an actor.
