Our Physio, Chrissy, headed down to the Taroona Football Club for a chat to the social women’s team on Game Readiness. They had a session on appropriate warm ups, how to reduce the risk of injury and ways of improving performance. It was a fabulous night with lots of laughs and great interactive discussions. Thanks to the for hosting the evening ⚽️

Farewell Phillipo

It was with a heavy heart that we bid adieu to one of the AllCare originals, the middle head of Cerberus, the lion in our Chimera. Or perhaps to those who know us, more like 1/3 of the three Amigos, hopefully less bumbly, more real hero.

Under the guidance of Maria, from the early origins of Neuromoves, Phil joined forces with Jason from Southern Physiotherapy to form the Authentic Allcare Cru back in 2008 (that’s a bonafide long service leave time ago). That time has flown, and whilst his ankle would disagree, his passion for what he does, and his empathy for those he would help, has not diminished. Phil sails off into the sunset to pursue his Robotic ambitions, keen to build upon his recent life-affirming Churchill world tour and develop his benign Skynet service for the betterment of Hobart’s human population.

Phil will be sorely missed, but will remain a friendly face. There are rumours that he has already accepted the next AllCare Christmas dance off challenge. We can confirm that he did indeed reach for the ‘Robot’ move at the last competition, dragging his 80’s lycra clad crew over the line- so it begins.

To finish on another three Amigos quote:

‘Wherever there is (health) injustice, you will find (Phil)’

He was invited to present a complex case and presented alongside a number Specialist physiotherapists and clinical experts in a day of advanced professional development.

He has been learning from some of the world’s best clinicians and academics in the field of Sports Physiotherapy. We can’t wait to see what skills and knowledge you bring back to the clinic!

Welcome Physiotherapist Noah to the AllCare team!

Noah graduated from Monash University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours). Growing up in Hobart, Noah was engrossed in the sporting world from an early age which helped him decide from the early age of 8 that physiotherapy was to be his chosen career path. 
Noah has a passion for goal setting, seeing this as an integral part in ensuring positive outcomes whilst also having the strong belief that physiotherapy and exercise should be enjoyable and something people can look forward to. 
Outside of work Noah will often be seen training for his next half marathons and has his eyes set on making the leap to the marathon distance in the coming years. Noah also has a love for live music, cooking and adventuring around Tasmania. 🏃‍♀️

Chrissy has returned from maternity leave and is back in the clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays! She takes her love for running and playing soccer into her work, looking at running related injuries, running technique, and is currently working within club soccer. Above her sporting interests, she enjoys working in the space of Women’s health across the lifespan - from adolescent girls to pregnant and post-natal women, and those in the peri menopause/menopause years. ⚽️
