The Pearson Test of English (PTE) has recently been approved by IRCC for use in Canadian immigration procedures. Starting in late 2023, PTE will join CELPIP and IELTS General Training as one of the three recognised language tests that applicants for immigration to Canada as members of the economic class must complete to show their English competence to IRCC.
