🌈 Why IDAHOBIT Matters 🌈
IDAHOBIT Day, observed on May 17th, marks the World Health Organization's 1990 declassification of homosexuality as a disease. Despite significant progress, LGBTQIA+ individuals in Australia continue to face high rates of bullying, harassment, and discrimination. With 68% of LGBTQIA+ employees not fully out at work and 2 in 3 LGBTQIA+ youth experiencing abuse, the fight for equality and inclusion remains critical. SCIS stands with the LGBTQIA+ community, supporting ongoing efforts to create a safe and supportive environment for everyone, every day.
