Seeking PRACTICE NURSE – Registered and Experienced Enrolled Nurses Welcome to Apply – 0.5 FTE with additional casual hours available. Shifts are 6 Short Shifts (3 Hours) and 3 Long shifts (7.5 Hours) a fortnight.

Modern Medical Caroline Springs is looking for an enthusiastic Nurse to join our amazing team.
Primary duties include but is not limited to: wound care, assisting with small surgical procedures, , injections, chronic disease management and sterilising. While skills in these areas are ideal, training will be provided.

Pre-requisites for this position are: Current registration with AHPRA, ability to work as a team and independently, excellent communication skills and customer service, computer literacy and a professional attitude. Community or Emergency department nursing considered advantageous, as is experience in chronic disease Management but all suitably qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.

We are pleased to announce that we have appointments available for Mirena IUD insertion at our clinic with Dr Jennifer Maxwell and Dr Caroline Anderson.

Dr Maxwell is trained in Mirena and copper IUD insertion and removal. She has a specialist interest in s*xual and reproductive healthcare and also offers antenatal shared care with Sunshine Hospital, Werribee Mercy and the Royal Womens Hospital.

The Mirena device is a long acting, reversible contraceptive which is highly effective and well tolerated. Other contraceptive methods are available and those interested should book an appointment to discuss.

Modern Medical Caroline Springs is now offering Mirena IUD appointments. A Mirena is a small contraceptive device that is placed in your uterus lasting for 5 years. It stops s***m from reaching and fertilising an egg. It also changes the lining of your uterus so a fertilised egg won’t stick to it. The Mirena IUD can be easily removed by a doctor and won’t stop you from getting pregnant later on.
There are many contraception options: Mirena IUD, Copper IUD, Contraceptive implant (Implanon NXT lasting 3 years), Contraceptive injection (Depot medroxyprogesterone acetate every 12 weeks), contraceptive pill (combined contraceptive pill or mini pill), Emergency contraceptive pill, Male and female Condoms, Diaphragm, vaginal ring, withdrawn method, natural method and sterilsation. No method is 100% effective at preventing pregnancy. Most types of contraception don't protect against s*xually transmissible infections (STIs). Condoms, both male and female, will give you some protection if you use them the right way every time you have s*x.
Breastfeeding is 98% effective in preventing pregnancy, but only if: you haven't had a period since your baby was born and, your baby is less than 6 months old and, you're only breastfeeding, meaning your baby isn't having any other food or drink.
