Here at Kidshouse Clyde north we celebrated our dads and special people, by inviting them to join us for afternoon tea and participate in a variety of amazing experiences. The children were able to express their love by creating their own gifts for them.

Here at Kidshouse Clyde North our Nursery two children thrive off their outdoor play and experiences. This gives them many opportunities to explore and discover nature.

“Outdoor experiences can provide an opportunity to explore, discover and appreciate the natural world, as well as be active, strengthen fine and gross motor movement skills, test physical limits and get messy. Time spent in the outdoors should be an important part of the daily program for all children, including babies”

Safety- We value the delivery of safe places for the mental and physical wellbeing of all.

Today at Kidshouse Clyde north Some of the Toddler one children came together and lined up the stepping stones, one behind the other with enough space for a big step before finishing with a big jump! The other children witnessed this new game and a couple more joined, each taking turns and waiting patiently for their chance to balance very carefully and then jump off the end, cheering for one another as they jumped.

“Balance and coordination are critical gross motor skills. The two help kids develop controlled body movement while performing physical tasks. Balance refers to the ability to keep your body in a controlled position while performing an action”

Here at Kidshouse Clyde north our pre-under one children participated in an experiment this morning. The children were captivated as we used cotton balls, poppy seeds, and water spray to simulate the planting process in plastic cups. This simple yet effective experiment allowed them to witness firsthand the science behind germination and growth. Observing how the cotton balls retained moisture and how the seeds began to sprout was both educational and inspiring for the children.

“Science is an extension of their everyday world. Science encourages and teaches children how to discover and wonder about everything in the world around them”

Here at Kidshouse Clyde north, as the Shelympics comes to a close as a centre we came together to reflect on the fun we have had over the past two weeks. The children were exposed to so many different wonderful sports. Each room proudly took their flags back and excitedly displayed them in each of our rooms. Even tho the flame is no longer burning, the children’s new found passion for sports will continue. ⚽️🏸🏑🏋️‍♀️🤸🏻‍♂️🚣🏊🏽‍♂️🥇🥈🥉

This week the kinder 1 and 2 rooms had a visit from Cultural Infusion. A person from the aboriginal culture introduced himself then started off with the acknowledgement of country and spoke about his tribe and showed us an instrument called the “Yidaki” he spoke to children about how he can create different Australian animal sounds. As he played the instrument asking the children to guess each animal. He also bought in some kangaroo fur for the children to feel.

“Teaching children about First Nation symbol use can help promote cultural understanding and respect. It can also help children learn about the rich history and traditions of Indigenous peoples, which can be especially important for Indigenous children who may not have learned about their own culture and heritage”

Respect- We accept everyone for who they are and always uphold the rights and dignity of our community members.

Here at Kidshouse Clyde north, in our toddler room the children are using and exploring magnets and the cause and effect of them.

“Children uncover cause-and-effect relationships when they document their observations of what magnets do and measure the strength of magnets’ pushes and pulls. Children will find that the magnets “work” for everyone, no magic words are needed, and the same actions happen each time magnets are used in the same way”

Last week at Kidshouse Clyde North the children participated in a variety of experiences through the week celebrating NAIDOC week.

“This year’s theme chosen by the National NAIDOC Committee, is Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud & Proud”

“Blak, Loud and Proud” encapsulates the unapologetic celebration of Indigenous identity, empowering us to stand tall in our heritage and assert our place in the modern world. This theme calls for a reclamation of narratives, an amplification of voices, and an unwavering commitment to justice and equality.

At Kidshouse Clyde the kinder children have a wonderful school holidays program last week one of the days was bring in a game from home day, they began their game time, “ Tricky sticks”. It is a game of skill! Roll the dice to pick a colour, and then pull out the matching stick without dropping the marbles. The player who is successful in removing all their sticks and also has the minimum number of balls in their tray wins the game!
Since this was group play, every involved child got a turn to remove the sticks. They were heartily cheering for their friends. Sometime we were successful in holding few marbles.

“Playing games helps children build patience, turn taking, practice what they know, and also what they don’t. It allows them to experiment through trial and error, find solutions to problems, work out the best strategies, build new confidence and of course to have fun with their fellow peers”

Connectedness- We strive to ensure feels seen, heard and valued through open communication and meaningful relationships.

Toddler One room at Kidshouse Clyde North, our little learners had an exciting time with a number recognition activity. With a bit of help from their educators, many of the children successfully placed the corresponding numbers in the right spots. It was wonderful to see their faces light up with pride as they matched each number correctly.

“Developing numeracy skills early gives children an important foundation for their learning and development. It helps prepare them for daily life, including general problem-solving and handling money. Maths includes noticing numbers, shapes, patterns, size, time and measurement”

Today was a whirlwind of creativity, learning, and exploration in our pre kinder room! The morning started off with a burst of energy as the children delved into the paint experiment at the art tables. With bubble wrap, water paints, and sponge brushes at their disposal, they unleashed their creativity and enthusiasm, creating vibrant masterpieces while also honing their color recognition skills.
The construction corner was a buzz with activity as children showcased their coordination skills, connecting connectors to build an array of patterns and structures. It was a testament to their problem-solving abilities and spatial awareness.

Integrity- We show integrity through all our interactions, by being honest, responsible and by doing what we say we will do.

Here at Kidshouse Clyde North during one of our rainy days the Kinder Children navigated their way around the room with intent to enjoy and create incredible experiences for themselves. In small groups in the room children were found building a circus !
Using their balancing skills they balanced a variety of different shapes blocks and had them on each side of the tower they built , they were wonderfully impressed with themselves that they could manage to balance and maintain the standing tower which was incredible to watch.

Connectedness- We strive to ensure our community feels seen, heard, and valued through open communication and meaningful relationships.
