We’ve hit the bullseye in Bulleen 🎯
Bulleen Road re-opened this morning between Manningham and Thompsons roads – a day ahead of schedule!
Traffic is now driving on the new lanes, with a 40km/h speed limit in place today.
Completing this work means we can keep traffic moving when tunnelling begins in 2024.

Thank you for your patience. To finally be getting traffic lights to exit the Sports Complex!
Busy in Bulleen. 🐝
Works to move traffic onto the new Bulleen Road are going well, with the new road on track to open by 7pm Tuesday 5 December.
Local drivers have even started using the new lanes to access schools, the Veneto Club and sporting grounds while we work. ⚽
Once the new road opens, we can start building the Yarra Link green bridge and entrance and exit ramps for North East Link.
For now, thanks for following the detour signs as you travel around Bulleen.

HOWS7 EP03 SWIM AUSTRALIA House of Wellness focus on the importance of learn to swim with interview from CEO of Swim Australia, Brendon Ward
The OG Yellow Wiggle needs our help!
You will recognise this very happy soul from your childhood and our favourite Wiggle of all time! This is Greg Page AM, the original Yellow Wiggle and also the worlds biggest champion for AED’s.
As a swim school we all have AED's on site, so have been supporters of Heart of the Nation Australia since the early days, proudly watching Greg's wonderful charity fight to get AED’s in public spaces across Australia.
An AED can potentially save the 27,000 Australians who suffer sudden cardiac arrest each year. It’s estimated that 88% of those don’t survive.
Greg just recently marked a three year milestone since surviving a cardiac attack and that’s because an AED was on site. If there’s one good thing you can do this week, it’s to sign this petition to ask the Federal Government to make them mandatory in most public spaces, and encourage others to do so via your socials.
You can find the link here: https://www.aph.gov.au/e-petitions/petition/EN4699
Are you able to please share our post from our page raise awareness for this important cause, or create posts of your own for your socials and tag us and Heart of The Nation?
It is a Federal petition – so sharing would be an amazing way to reach so many of our swim families and communities across the country, and a great way of following up from Greg’s appearance at the last ASSA conference!
Thank you from the bottom of my healthy heart.

Ps. If you do a second thing this week, make sure you check your heart health. It just may save your life ❤️
and swim safe.
Congratulations to this little miss who exceeded expectation this weekend.
Charisse competed at the Victorian Sprint Championships and finished 6th in the her age group’s 50m Breaststroke.
REMINDER
Summer.
A fantastic time to head towards the beach and other areas around water.
Sadly, it has become an almost daily announcement this holiday period of tragic drownings. All being avoidable!
We know and understand that crowded beaches are not the most desired and finding that secluded beach, is like striking gold.
If you cannot swim, and you are not 100% confident in your children’s ability, then choose, wisely!
Even the best of swimmers can strike trouble.
Better still, swim where it is safe, patrolled and guarded.
SWIM BETWEEN THE FLAGS.
Don’t become a statistic.
