The Albanese Government is closing loopholes that have allowed temporary visa holders to extend their stay indefinitely. Effective 1 July, significant changes will impact Visitor Visa and Temporary Graduate Visa holders:

1. Visitor Visa holders will no longer be able to apply for Student Visas onshore.
2. Temporary Graduate Visa holders will not be able to extend their stay by returning to study.
