We are very lucky to have such wonderful support from Chris at Seddon Deadly Sins and Coffee Mio who generously loaned us with an amazing coffee machine and other resources. We would love the support of our community to help continue the coffee service during our weekly Toy Library session at the Maidstone Child and Family Centreπ.

Introducing PlayBuddies, an exciting collaboration with Playgroups Victoria. Free inclusive playgroup for children aged 0-5 years with a trained facilitator, bringing children of all abilities together through play. Starting on Friday at 10am. Click on the QR code to register!

The PlayConnect+ program is open to all children with disability and/or developmental concerns aged 0-6 years (school holiday programs available for 5-8-year-olds), their families, carers and siblings. No diagnosis is required. Maribyrnong Toy Library is hosting its next free family event and we are bringing you BUILD and CREATE! This event will be about enjoying all things building and creating. We are excited to have VUPlay as our special guests so come and enjoy some loose parts play. We do recommend bookings to avoid disappointment but if the weather is kind we will have loads of space for everyone outdoors! π

Wow...what an amazing day we had today! The bad weather held off long enough for over 150 people to come and enjoy a day of toys and active play activities. Lots of fun was had with the Western Bulldogs crew and the Maidstone United Soccer club so a huge thank you! The firetruck crew brought so much joy with lots of children, and adults, enjoying a sit in the truck and pressing the sirens, as well as having a go with the water hose...such legends!! Let's not forget the happiness spread by our Princess on Skates full of vibrant energy and who put lots of smiles on faces! Shout out to our amazing volunteers Ruth and Gary keeping the good coffee flowing for all and baking up a storm too!! Thanks to everyone who came along to make this such a wonderful day!! ππ₯³π

The Western Bulldogs will be bringing their Goal Inflatable, Maidstone United Soccer Club will be running fun soccer activities, and Princess on Skates will be bringing joy to the park! There will also be toys and fun for the whole family. This is a free event.

On Saturday the 18th of March Maribyrnong Toy Library collaborated with Casa Bonita Lifestyle to run Harmony Carnavalito. This event was all about sharing culture and it was a beautiful day filled with cultural art and stories. Here are just a few photos from the Harmony Carnavalito. Bilingual Story Time at Toy Library sessions
Maribyrnong Council Early Years Team will be running a Bilingual Storytime alongside our Toy Library session at Yarraville tomorrow, Tuesday the 28th of March and at Angliss on Monday the 22nd of May.
There will be stories, songs, and rhymes suitable for children from birth to five years and their families.

West Footscray Neighbourhood House is having a Bunnings Sausage Sizzle Fundraiser on Saturday the 1st of April at West Footscray Bunnings. Come and Support on the day by buying a snag...or two!
WFNH is also accepting donations of sauces (Tomato, BBQ, Mustard) and serviettes are also appreciated.
Donations can be left at the office upstairs or at any Toy Library session.
All funds raised will go back into our Community Programs.

This day is all about connecting children and their families to culture and diversity. The workshops in this event are all free.
All the cultural workshops/experiences are for children of any age, but dont forget parents need to stay with their children. Bookings are required via eventbrite.

What a weekend we had! The International Toy Library Conference was such an amazing few days filled with inspiring speakers, wonderful tours of toy libraries and so many great conversations with people from all over the world who understand the importance of toy libraries and the huge part they play in building and supporting our communities, including taking care of our environment.
The icing on the cake was Maribyrnong Toy Library winning Runners Up for the Large Toy Library of the Year Award!!! We are so proud of this achievement and a huge thank you to all our members and volunteers who support our toy library!ππ₯³
Sorry we had to close this morning and miss seeing our lovely families but here we are at the International Toy Library Conference getting lots of inspiration for ideas and resources to grow our beautiful toy library even more! π
The West Footscray Neighbourhood House Monthly Walking Group has started back for 2023! Meets the first Monday of every month, outside the front entrance of the West Footscray Neighbourhood House. Join us this Monday the 6th of March. Families are more than welcome to join, it's all about getting out for a lovely walk and meeting new people π.
