CrossFit is a principle strength and conditioning program by design it is broad, general and inclusive. The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. The same routines are used for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree not kind.

is one of our teens using CrossFit to suppliment his basketball and has managed to finish in 19th position in our region, Oceania (14 - 15 division) for the worldwide CrossFit Open.
This qualifies him for the quarter-finals for The CrossFit Games πͺ

What can we say about this amazing teen
He has come so far in such a short time. This non-stop teenager plays rep basketball (2 x practices sessions a week + game), domestic basketball ( 1 x practice + game each week), goes to school, hits the bike jumps with mates and still has time to come into the gym at least twice a week to suppliment his rep goals.
Last week, Charlie got a little bit out of his comfort zone and attempted some pretty tall jumps... and absolutely nailed them. Even inspired some others in the gym to give other heights a crack that they wouldn't normally do.
Not only was Charlie successful in himself, but he also encouraged the community around him in their own successes, and this is why he is our weekly winner

π Struggling to get it in, hydrolyte or their icypoles - some chemists stock them cold
π RSEA also carry hydration icypoles - they are pre frozen and the flavours are amazing
π Recovery swim post workout - we live near some of the best beaches on the mornpen- enjoy a cool down

It's essential to note that anxiety and stress are two factors that can hinder falling asleep, and stretching before bedtime can help reduce them considerably.
However, bedtime stretches are not only beneficial for improving your ability to fall asleep; they can also significantly enhance the overall quality of your sleep.
This can be particularly helpful for athletes engaged in intense training who require adequate sleep quality to optimize their recovery and progress more effectively.
To put it bluntly, stretching helps to promote restorative sleep by relaxing the body and mind, releasing accumulated tensions from the day for faster sleep onset and a peaceful night.

Healthy Habit - 2 day breaky prep
This one is quick, easy, and delicious π High in protein and flavour is on point.
Prep jars and almost all ingredients from Aldi. Whey protein for mine was choc- honeycomb courtesy of .banner_ and the team
1 serve
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 TBS chia seeds
- 30gm protein
- 1/4 cup Greek yoghurt
- 1/2 cup light milk
- mixed berries
- can add sugar-free maple syrup to taste... but this will be dependent on you and your protein flavour
Place dry ingredients in jar and stir. Then add yoghurt and milk. Stir well. Add berries on top and place in the fridge overnight, ready for a delicious breakfast tomorrow π
