Altona North Bowls Club would like to acknowledge the passing of Kevin Carrol from the Altona Sports Bowls Club over the weekend. Our sympathies are with Kevin’s family and the Altona Sports Club community. Kevin was a very dear friend of some of our members and very well liked in the local bowls community. Our thoughts are with those closest to him during this very sad time.

One of the best Men’s Singles Championship Finals the club has seen. Very well played by both Robert Grierson and Mick O’Connor in an absolute nail biter. Congratulations Robert Grierson on a very well deserved win.🏆

Just a reminder that next Saturday December 16th, we the Altona North Bowls Club are holding our Christmas Function starting around 6.00pm after our home game against Sunbury. Free entry , drinks at bar prices and local DJ Tony Bosco playing all the tunes, a great night is well assured, so to all our members ( social and bowlers ) and supporters please make an effort support this great club and celebrate the outgoing year and bring in the new year coinciding in the club’s 40th year.

Another thrilling day of bowls at Altona North great win 79-77 with 3 rinks up, 16 points for the day. A special thanks to all the supporters who cane down you really inspired us to this victory. Just a reminder for all pennant ANBC Players that today Thursday is practice day for All, first game Saturday 21/10 against Bacchus Marsh at Home, teams will be selected later this afternoon by our Selection Committee and placed on our noticeboard for all to see.Let’s Go Altona North.

Great practice day had by all yesterday, thanks to Altona Sports Club for fun day great people great Club thanks ,(ANBC got the chocolates) A big thanks goes out to the ANBC Club Member Sonia and Club Pres Phantom for the awesome halftime lunch.Also would like to thank Laverton Bowling Club for Joining our club for the last few weeks of practice as there Club is out of action for Rolling at this time,great people and club.First game is Saturday 21/10/23, to all bowling members Thursday is training/practice anytime on this day is good for you and a buddy,friend or family member who would like to join please come on down, this is also our day for selecting committee to elect our teams for Saturday games. Another point if youbknow of any potential players or recruits please bring them down. The season starts October 21st so let’s all get together in the up coming weeks and try to go one better this season. Remember we are open 7 days a week so more the merrier.
