Dear Members
we’re well into the new year and have our sights firmly set on the forthcoming season.
Holly and Julio are on board and we are happy to announce key dates towards the start of the season, including the most important thing of getting the juniors back on the pitch!

Preseason training will commence on Thursday 1st February at Yallambie Park, with a Juniors kick-off session commencing at 5pm. We would like to invite everybody down for coached games and drills for the kids, an info session for the parents, to meet our new Junior Technical Directors and to enable us to provisionally assess numbers and capabilities. We will have the canteen open and snags on the barbecue.

From then we will have training on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, times groups and venues TBC depending on numbers and pitch allocations.
Team selection will be finalised by 29th February, and the teams will train together with their coach through March ready for a season kick-off in mid April.

We are delighted to be working with Puma on the junior team uniforms this season, and more details will be relased in due course on sizing, payments and delivery.
But we’re out of the blocks, and we the committee could not be more excited to finally get our footballers back out there kicking a ball!

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENTS

Just in time for Christmas, the Committee is delighted to be able to announce some absolutely fantastic news!

We have been incredibly busy formulating our football strategy for the coming season and would like to announce the HUGE appointments of Holly McNamara and Julio Beltran as our joint Junior Technical Directors!

Holly is a current player for the Matildas and Melbourne City, and while on her rehab from a recent injury will be bringing her elite expertise, professionalism and profile in the very pinnacle of the women’s game to our club! She will also be taking the role of assistant coach for the high-flying Senior Women’s team, and we are nothing short of thrilled at her signing!

But, there is more….!

Julio is a new signing for the Senior Men’s Team and will be bringing to the club his vast experience in playing and coaching juniors, and will be working closely with Holly in building and steering the strategy for our junior members technical, physical and emotional development. We are so excited to have Julio join us and to step up this clubs progression in developing our junior program!

Please welcome these incredible additions to our club.

But wait… there is even more……?

The Committee is also over the moon to announce our partnership with the Elite Football Academy!! Managed through its senior coach and our new TD Julio, this strategic alliance will provide opportunity for the advanced development for our juniors, off season training and competition (limited currently by our arrangements with the council, which we are trying to address for the future) and access to elite level coaching.

These appointments are fundamental in the club’s new direction and strategy, with a newly formed Football Leadership Group consisting of Holly and Julio, our fantastic Senior Men’s Coach Costa, our President and Senior Women’s coach Nasr Said, our senior reserve team coaches and our Vice President and Master player Daniel Blakemore to UNITE the club as one, to CHALLENGE all our members to progress and succeed, and to INSPIRE our next generation of footballers to GROW together as a club and community. Integrating the junior development with the senior experience and expertise will help us present clearly defined pathways from the junior to the senior game.

Detailed announcements will be made in the new year so watch this space, but registrations will be open soon, with preseason to start mid-January 2024, trials and team selection to be completed by the end of February all ready for a serious training to start in March.

We wish all our members, future, past and present, a very Happy Christmas and New Year and relaxing holiday season.

We can confirm the signing of Matias Contreras for the 2024 season.

Matias is a versatile player who will add us in the front end of the pitch. He will link up with former teammate Julio Beltran to further add experience and class to our squad.

We are excited to welcome Julio Beltran to the Bulls family for the upcoming season.

Beltran joins us from Westgate, but has a vast amount of experience at NPL level here in Victoria. We cannot wait to see him in our colours in what we hope will be a big 2024 down at Yallambie.

Banyule City are pleased to announce the signing of young attacking midfielder Tristan Patsiotis for the 2024 season.

Patsiotis joins the club after a stint at Boorondara, however has a vast amount of experience throughout the A-League setup where he was taken under his wing by the likes of Bruno Fornaroli whilst at Melbourne City.

We cannot wait to see him in Banyule colours this seaosn.

Banyule City is excited to announce that Nasr Said is our new women’s coach for our inaugural season in the Victorian Premier League.

Since inception almost four seasons ago, Nasr has worked tirelessly with the squad to ensure that women’s football at Banyule continues to improve each season. As such, the past three seasons have led to three championships and an opportunity to play in the 2024 VPL competition.

With further investment into the Womens game and through the work of the club and its leaders both on and off the park, Nasr will be looking to a strong season with the aim of trying to reach the NPL as soon as possible.

Banyule City are pleased to announce that we are holding trials for our reserve senior men’s side commencing on Tuesday November 28th.

We're super excited to welcome Jordan Gifkins to our team for the 2024 season! 🙌⚽

After recently playing for the for Melbourne Knights, Bentleigh, and Brunswick City, Jordan is a calm and experienced goalkeeper who will not only add a tremendous player on the park to our squad but also a leader around the club.

Banyule City are excited to announce the re-signing of Lachlan campbell for the 2024 season.

Lachie is a key player to our squad and provides us with experience and leadership, Lachlan was the vice captain in the 2023 season and showed plenty of leadership on and off the park. We look forward to having you back Lachlan.

A certificate from Football Victoria in recognition of our ‘Club Coach Coordinator Program’. In 2024 we are committed to developing our coaches, to provide quality training to the future of our club, our Juniors. We also aim to increase our female coaching participation, so we can inspire and support our female junior superstars.

Our warm and sincere condolences go out to the Family and friends of Tony Howell who has sadly passed away.
Tony was a much respected long time player, and member of the Banyule/Rosanna SC. Tony played for Rosanna in the 70s and was one of the founding players to kick start our club.

His funeral will will be held at Fawkner Cemetery on Wednesday 25th October at 11:30am.

May he rest in eternal peace 🙏

We are pleased to announce the signing of Zoe Austen

Zoe spent last season at Boroondara Eagles, where she captained the side in their first year in the NPLW. She has also played with Bulleen Lions and Bayside United in the past.

Banyule City are excited to announce the re-signing of Adrian De Petro for the 2024 season.

Adrian is a key player to our squad and provides us with experience and versatility across the park. He played every minute of the season and finished second in our BNF this year, so we naturally are pleased to have him return to the club for the next season.

Good to have Kou media back who will be covering seniors men’s women’s masters and most importantly our juniors.

We're back for another year helping Banyule City as their Official Media Partner for the 2024 season. It's a big year for the Bulls, who will look at bouncing back in the men's after surviving on the last match day, but the excitement of their women's side reaching the VPLW.

We are excited to announce youngster Tyler Robinson as our second signing of the 2024 season. He provides us with a versatile player who has shone throughout the midfield, as well as having a work ethic that enables him to also push back.

Tyler joins us from our friends at Northcote City, with the former Under 21 Championship winner playing numerous matches at senior level this season and impressing all those around him.

We look forward to welcoming Tyler to the Bulls family.
