It is with sadness that we announce the loss of our beloved Josephine (our Habibi). She came into our lives sometime in 2019 with a happy smile and broken english. She started working at the Convenience store and quickly became family to us. “Good morning Josephine turned quickly into Good morning Habibi as this is how she greeted us. She made us laugh and she ruled the mall with her defiance. The length of her generosity and care was limitless, her Lebanese culture was welcomed each time she offered us her cuisine. Her unwavering love of Christ and God guided her. We crowned her the Mayor of Oakleigh. Everybody loved Josephine. She loved everybody too. One of the most generous and caring hearts we’ve ever had the privileged to meet. God gave Josephine to us to teach us kindness. She was an angel from the start and selfless to the end. She left us on 11:11. The day of the angels. Josephine, you were one in a zillion. We are all better people having known you and Monastiraki has a massive piece missing now that you are no longer with us. Rest in peace Habibi. Until we see you again. xx
