Kids on Mullum Child Care

Today is also Indigenous Literacy Day!! During book week, we held a BIG Book Swap! It was such a wonderful event for families to share loved books and stories, make donations to a wonderful cause, and find new stories to love!! Today, we were able to donate $33 to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation and we are so grateful to all our families for supporting us in this great fundraiser!

Happy Educators Day to ALL our amazing educators and teachers!! Thank you for you do everyday to support our children and families!! I hope you had a wonderful day celebrating on Monday and reading all the messages of thanks from the families and children!!

Such wonderful book week activities at KOM last week!! From dress ups and book based activities, fundraising, to fun with afternoon teas and funny videos!! 😃 what an awesome week we have had!!

This week is Book Week!! As part of our centre event, today we are having our BIG Book Swap. Children can donate a book to swap or can bring a gold coin to donate! 😃 We will have the Book swap available for the rest of the week. We hope to raise funds for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation. Thank you to all the families that have already participated!
We love books and reading at KOM and it's wonderful to share the love of reading with all our children and ensuring all children have access to books and stories!

Our Kinder groups have created some wonderful posters to send off to the Olympic Village in Paris to inspire and cheer on our Australian athletes!! We are excited to send our artwork off tomorrow!! Olympic Team

A fundraising sausage sizzle will be set up in our Junior Kinder yard, $2 each (cash only), for our Murray Project 🌟

Today, we are supporting First Nations experiencing hardship as part of our Reconciliation Week. Today, we will raise funds to help those in need through the GIVIT organisation! Thank you to all our families and staff for supporting this great cause!

Yesterday, 26th May, was National Sorry Day. Kids on Mullum would like to acknowledge this significant day of rememberance today, and we pay tribute to all indigenous Australians affected by the stolen generations.

The countdown is on for Kindergarten Open Morning on Saturday 1st June!! Starting from 9am to 11am. If your child is soon to start their kindergarten journey or you may be interested in getting more information about our centre and what we offer, then we encourage you to come and view our kinder rooms and programs. Meet our wonderful Kinder Teachers and Educators and learn more about what Kids on Mullum's Kindergarten programs offer, while your child can have the chance to explore our kinder environments!! 😀

This morning we attended the Ringwood dawn service and laid our wonderfully crafted wreath the Kinder children created.

They shall grow not old,
as we that are left grow old;

Our Kinder children have been busy this week creating a beautiful wreath to lay at the dawn service tomorrow at the Ringwood Clock Tower. The service begins at 5.30am and we welcome any KOM families or staff to attend.

Our toddler two group has been busy growing, potatoes, carrots and snow peas!! They are thriving, and Monday, the children got to pick some of the snow peas and added them to their morning tea!! We'll done toddler two!!

It's World Art Day today!! We have a great day of creativity and art based projects planned today and will be displaying in the hallway and within the rooms, so make you have a look this week!! 😀

Over the Easter long weekend, all yards at the centre received new sand, tan bark and the gardens have had a big clean up! We are very impressed with the outcome, you should come and check them out 👏🤩

Epilepsy Awareness Day 💟

Yesterday we celebrated our Irish families and St Patrick's Day! We made soda bread, listened to traditonal Irish music, explored and made shamrocks. We were also treated to a traditional bread and butter pudding made by Archer's dad!! Thanks Stuart!! 😀
