Wow, the Christmas Spirit is here! Our club, lead by Lion Leonie and many friends combined to collect a fantastic lot of gifts for tweens and teens. The Salvation Army will distribute on our behalf.

SAVE THE DATE: The Park Orchards Community Car Rally is scheduled for SUNDAY 25th FEBRUARY 2024. Cars will be assembling at Domeney Reserve, Knees Rd Park Orchards from 8:30am for a 9:00am start for first car out.

The Park Orchards Lions Club is keen for a COFFEE VENDOR to set-up at the start to help our participants get their day get revved up. Expectation is upward of 90 cars and 200 drivers/navigators with some keen for a coffee first thing in the morning.

Sunday spent bringing the spirt of Christmas to children and families associated with the Pyjama Foundation. Check out the excitement of receiving free books thanks to 123 Read to me and presents from Santa. And then a sausage sizzle and fund games as well. Great work from our Lions Club of Lyndhurst and District 201-V5 helpers.

Christmas is a difficult time for many. We try to offer support where we can. Today I visited Reaching Out Because we Can and dropped off pens, notebooks, LCM’s, Individual Oreos, tissues and 3 boxes if individual gifts which were donated by a special lady.

This has led to $2.5 million being donated since our partnership began. The money raised allows us to install and stock our Dignity Vending Machines and support our community impact work all around the country.

Special evening with 112 Lions and friends for our District Changeover. District Lions were honoured with various recognition awards. I was privileged to receive a Star Award. My new Cabinet and Portfolio team was introduced and received their new name badges with my theme 'Embrace Diversity' featured. My Club was out in force to support me on the night too.
