Our Daily Bread - nourishing with love

What a great day - Our Lady the Merciful, Panagia Eleousa Bacchus Marsh. The food truck was there after the liturgy, presided by His Grace Bishop Evmenios. The church and land was built and donated 38 years ago by Evangelos and Dimitra Giannes. It is an inspiring family of three generations that have provided this amazing gift to the Orthodox community, and are still on hand to tend to their beloved church. The ODB team provided souvlakia and frappes and we all enjoyed the afternoon. We are back again next year. We hope to see more of you make the trip down, it's definitely worth it.

The ODB Christmas party was a joyous celebration in true festive style outdoors. The talented Sofia a Frangos entertained us with carols, and his Grace Biahop Evmenios blessed the proceedings. We will miss everyone over the Christmas break and look forward to our start date in 2024 of January 25th. Thank you everyone that has helped or dined with us and keeps making OBD such an amazing program to be part of.

The annual feast day of Panagia Eleousa in Bacchus Marsh will be held again this year.
Service will commence at 8:30am until 11:30am.
Our Daily Bread will be on the grounds to cater for all of your food and drink needs.

We did it. The first fundraiser for Our Daily Bread - an afternoon high tea, was a huge success. Glory to God. With a full house we raised nearly $30,000 thanks to the tireless efforts of Fr Leo, the volunteers and everyone who donated items or came and supported the event. We want to thank our federal MP PETER KHALIL and state MP TONY CIANFLONE for attending and supporting the event. Our major function - The Our Daily Bread dinner dance will be on the 2/3/2024. A big thank you to the students of St John’s College and their coordinator Ourania. The VCAL students raised $500 that will go to the ODB Christmas appeal to give Christmas cheer to those struggling and on the street. The students of St John’s college together with Ourania Giannos, David Nielson and Joanna Krikalis are great supporters of the program and those in need. It is a great example to our younger generations.

Great effort to our volunteers and the Parish who supported us to raise $600 today for the Madagascar mission. In 2 weeks Our Daily Bread starts its mission up close and personal with 2 of its volunteers visiting the Fiji mission. On the agenda will be helping with developing a medical/ dental centre, health screens of the orphans (pictured) and residents and of course any other help the mission needs.
