When looking for a Local TAFE to go learn a new skill I was very shocked to see the locations........ The red circle is my area. Not one option close by. No wonder our kids are bored. Looks like another issue for AMCA to follow up on.

Well it was so well received we have our Free First Aid inc CPR classes available again this year.

You get to pick the day you attend all you need to do is register for a code and then book the session in. the sessions will be held at Truganina.

ROAD CLOSURES

Just got this and am sharing so you can plan your travel

I am writing to inform you about upcoming road closure on Dohertys Road in Laverton North - Commencing Sunday 4 June
During this period, we will work between 8pm and 6am.
Electronic message signs are displayed along the road to communicate advanced notice of the works, road closures and detours.
Buses and emergency services including ambulance and police vehicles will be granted access through the site during the works by our traffic controllers.
Attached is a notification letter which provides further details around the scheduled road works and the approved detour routes.

A sneak peak of Koorie Collections - opening in the Louis Joel Gallery today 1pm - all welcome.

LJAC is fortunate to be dipping into a collection of paintings by First Nations’ artists from Central Australia, particularly from Utopia. Julie Peers is an Aboriginal woman, a member of the Stolen Generations who has made it her life’s work contributing to the wellbeing of her community through community and economic development. For over 25 years Julie has promoted Aboriginal Art through her family-owned business, Altair, and more recently with her son Daniel Peers, have worked on a fair-trade basis, supporting Aboriginal artists and their communities through its pricing structures that are extremely competitive, making original works more accessible to more people. Many of the paintings are by women artists and some by men from Central Australia.
