On Friday night at Surrender we are having a panel conversation 'What Does Just Peace Look Like?' We're excited to have and Suzan Wahhab from Palestinian Christians in Australia as our first two members of this panel.

Sadly, we're seeing conflict around the world on the rise, through the Middle East, across Africa, and throughout parts of Asia. This panel will shed some light on what is happening and what we can do to lift up those enduring conflict.

Surrender is honoured to support the nationwide screening of the film 'Buying Her' by Exodus Cry, which exposes the hidden world of s*x buyers and highlights their role in s*x trafficking. This groundbreaking documentary explores the reasons behind their involvement in the purchase of s*x and shares raw accounts from both buyers and survivors. It sheds light on the journey of these individuals from exposure to po*******hy to becoming perpetrators, while also offering hope for healing, accountability, and the eradication of s*x trafficking.

This time in 2019, the very first SURRENDER Leadership Program participants began their journey. Throughout the year, I remember being impressed by their collective wisdom about what's really important in leadership. I wish I was thinking like them when I was in my early 20s!

5 years on and nearly 50 leaders later, I have continued to be encouraged, inspired and challenged by these young, culturally diverse leaders.

Tomorrow, a new cohort of SLP leaders begins their journey at our first Retreat in Naarm. Please pray for them!

Here's a reflection I wrote originally about that first cohort, but now updated after 5 years. If you're a leader or interested in the emerging generation of leaders, I hope this encourages you!
