I am not the sum of my things. But I like to touch them.
Kunmanara (Tiger) Yaltangki
1973 - 2024
Our hearts are heavy at Iwantja Arts, as we share the sad news of the passing of Kunmanara (Tiger) Yaltangki.
Mr Yaltangki was a truly one-of-a-kind artist, his wildly colourful and energetic paintings were in contrast to his quiet, kind, and gentle presence at Iwantja Arts. He will be greatly missed and leaves behind an amazing artistic legacy – although he was largely non-verbal, his art spoke volumes and offered us a glimpse into his unique visual universe. Rock in peace, malpa wiru.

Sister Corita Kent was a nun, an influential pop artist, and a famously charismatic professor at the small, Catholic liberal arts college Immaculate Heart in downtown Los Angeles from 1947 until 1968. She believed that everyone was an artist: “We can all talk, we
can all write, and if the blocks are removed, we can all draw and paint and make things,” she wrote.

“I literally do not know what I’m doing. Nobody knows if I’m even being ‘ironic’ anymore. I am, I am not—don’t worry about it!” x Third Drawer Down
Ten balloons by x Third Drawer Down offering sincere apologies for you know what, because we all have the capacity to be an as***le: to ourselves, to each other, unintentionally, in one grand sh*tty gesture, for an extended period of time... but maybe an apology (and possibly laughter) can help. Also suitable for an apology in advance if you plan to be annoying soon (such as birthdays, milestones, etc)
Unfortunately very useful

A cult classic, The Manly Art of Knitting was originally published in 1972, but has been out of print for decades. Fougner initially published this book in the hope that it would encourage men to take up knitting and that veterans of the craft would embrace this quirky manual. In this amusing yet practical guide to knitting, Dave Fougner provides step-by-step instructions for beginners and those taking up the needles again.
The socks say it all
