We are committed to reconciliation, truth-telling, and collaboration with Aboriginal communities for guidance and insight, and this choice aligns with our commitment. This has been our choice since 2017, when it was decided by a majority vote. All our staff are invited to take a day of their choosing as their day off in the leadup to 26 January.

With the referendum date now known we wanted to share why Clear Horizon supports the establishment of a Voice to Parliament. For over 200 years, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have been denied a meaningful voice in the decisions that affect their lives. The Voice to Parliament will provide a way for First Nations peoples to have a say in matters that are important to them, such as health, education, housing, and justice.



It will get us closer to closing the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians and creating a more just and equitable society. But we also need to address the historical injustices in this country. This is why we support the Uluru statement from the Heart in full (voice, treaty, truth) and continually strive to become better allies. And this is why Clear Horizon supports the establishment of a Voice to Parliament.
