Myna Magnet is a modern and humane solution to a potentially devastating environmental pest problem.
A scientifically designed Indian myna trap is now available. This unit is the result of years of study and research and is highly effective and selective. Help our environment and our native bird species by eradicating the “Cane Toad with Wings” with this trap. The Myna Magnet range is also very suitable for trapping Starlings (Sturnus vulgaris)
While we manufacture collapsible traps such as the Mini Myna Magnet; we also have Australia’s most recognised professional pigeon trap - the Pigeon Magnet.
Pigeons remain a significant pest in towns, cities and domestic situations, and like trapping mynas, removing pigeons from the environment is a helpful solution to be used in conjunction with our various deterrent systems.
See www.PestIT.com.au for details.

Not just the home of the mighty Mini Myna Magnet - PestIT manufactures a range of collapsible, professional grade traps including the Cat Magent. Available with the optional MinkPolice Alert Sensor.

A great way to monitor trapped pest animal or bird species, particularly in remote Commercial situations is to use sensor technology such as the MinkPolice.
Here is an example of its use with our Possum Magnet.

Indian mynas are not the only pests impacting our natural environment. Through our Magnet trap range, we have a heavy focus on the trapping of feral cats in Australia.
We manufacture the Cat Magnet , which can be used with sensor alert technologies, such as MinkPolice

Australia is a lot quieter than it used to be.
Since their introduction in the late 18th century, feral and roaming pet cats have had a HUGE impact on of our native wildlife.
They’ve helped hunt 27 of our native species to extinction.
We’ll never get the chance to see the Broad-faced Potoroo, Desert Bettong or Paradise Parrot. They’re gone.

Here is a great article for everyone that is doing their bit to reduce the scourge of the invasive Indian mynas.

Bird ranked one of the world's 100 most invasive species spreading its territory in Australia When Indian mynas move into an area they force native birds out of their wood hollows and kill their chicks, leading to a decline in native bird numbers.
Did you know that Myna Magnet is part of our Magnet Trap range? We manufacture a variety of heavy duty, collapsible, proven Australian design and durable traps for a wide variety of vertebrate invasive pests - including the Pigeon Magnet.
Thanks for these pics Craig. For more information, visit www.PestIT.com.au

Removing feral cats from our natural environment is a priority here at PestIT. We wish to acknowledge and congratulate the initiatives highlighted below.
If we can assist with professional collapsible traps such as the Cat Magnet see https://www.pestit.com.au/product/the-cat-magnet-trap/ for details.
Look at the right of this photo. What can you see?
Yup, that’s a feral cat, one of this country’s most effective and destructive predators facing off against two Red Kangaroos at Ethabuka Reserve, Wangkamadla country in far western Queensland.
DYK that feral cats are considered a significant threat to biodiversity on the land we protect? 😔
Australia’s feral cat population is estimated to be between two and six million, depending on the conditions. And yet scientists estimate – using a strong data set – that they are responsible for killing up to two billion native animals every single year.
As there are no natural predators (bar dingoes) to control them, they live largely unchecked and can devastate populations of native species.
Our work controlling feral cats is critical to ensuring Ethabuka and the many species that are found there can thrive long into the future.

If you have a fox problem, consider a Fox Magnet. Interesting article regarding Melbourne's growing fox issue.
‘Scary’ scalped foxes hung from trees FOXES are in plague proportions across the Mornington Peninsula, despite a bounty on their heads.
Introducing MinkPolice, our new SIM card based trap alert system. Now, 24/7 cave trap monitoring is available. Simple ap, plug and play technology at your finger tips. Awesome legislative vertebrate pest monitoring compliance now available.
These photos just in from a Pigeon Trapping program in an aircraft hangar. Over 40 pigeons removed from an internal program over the past two weeks. Well done to the Melbourne based trappers.
I have been stalking this fox for 12 months. He bumped the trap and set it of first night, but it's taken a long time to get a second chance. He must have been hungry. The Fox Magnet is exactly that. Australian designed, professional grade collapsible trap.
Back on Denarau Island as we move into a new phase for the Denarau Island Myna Trapping program. Night trap servicing is now to be undertaken by a local pest company. We are in Fiji to conduct training this week for a smooth handover of the project. I love the innovation of using palm fronds to keep the traps cooler.
Another satisfied Fox Magnet user. This fox was caught at a commercial free range chicken farm in an outer suburban area of Melbourne. What does the fox say.......
The Denarau Island Myna Trapping program still going strong at the Westin and the Sheraton. All following the instruction of night operations. I'll be back in Fiji in February to reboot procedures for 2017. Bula and Merry Christmas.
Now here is something that you don't see every day in a Myna Magnet. Can anyone guess what it is?
