Happy Foodie Friday!!
We all know that Vitamin C is very important for fighting colds and infections and it is vital to get our optimal level from our food.
The first food most people think of is an orange as the media has convinced us this is the best form of Vitamin C.
The other option is a supplement.
In both cases this is false as you can see from this info-graphic you can obtain large amounts of this from many other foods.
Vegetables are a much better choice as they have a much lower sugar and fructose content than an orange.
Also oranges contain high levels of uric acid which is a massive problem for someone suffering with gout.
Try to eat a wide variety of the foods below in combination with healthy fats and proteins and your body will love you.
As for supplements you do not need them if you are getting everything from your food like you are supposed to.
