🏐 FINALS WEEK 2 🏐

This weekend we have an amazing 9 teams playing finals, our juniors are heading up to Woori Yallock Saturday and Sunday.

We then have our Seniors in SEPNL’s first year of finals on Saturday from 11.30am and the Wickers are hosting the semi’s!

Canteen, BBQ, Coffee Van and Loaded Teas available during the day, as always we will be providing the vibes for a great day.

We would love to see a big crowd of navy blue and white cheering on our wickers this weekend, free entry for senior finals 🙌🏻

🏐 FINALS WEEK 1 RESULTS 🏐

What a morning down at Pepi’s Land yesterday, lots of Navy Blue and white representing our amazing club!

U13 and U15 West progress through to the semi finals this Sunday, can’t wait to cheer them on 🙌🏻 our U13, U15 East, U17 Prem and seniors teams start their finals campaigns on Saturday.

Unfortunately it’s the end of the finals series for our U17 West team, they didn’t go down without a fight, an amazing accomplishment to have made it to finals. So many positives to take out of the season and their final game, we couldn’t be prouder of this group of players and coach, you made the most of your season ☺️

Wicker of the Week for our final round of the season goes to 11 of the most dedicated volunteers at our club. Every week they give their time, thoughts, skills and energy to our players. They plan training sessions, create new drills, come up with tactical plays, teach everything they possibly can, be a kind friend and turn up on game day ready to do what it takes to get a win for the team. Coaching is the hardest job on earth all whilst juggling their personal lives, being on the Berwick committee and being the best Wicker supporters on earth 🙌🏻

Chloey, Jordan, Clare, Andi, Lani, Nichole, Tyrah, Luisa, Chloe, Grace, Matt and Mele we can’t thank you enough for giving your time and dedication to the role of coaching this season. You all deserve the recognition of Wickers of the Week 💙🤍

💙 Taya Vincent | 50 Games 🤍

Congratulations to Taya Vincent on reaching 50 games for BNC!

We love having you at the Wickers Tay, such a beautiful strong goaler with a never give up attitude. We have seen Tay on some of the toughest competition, playing her brand of netball, fighting her way under post and pulling in some amazing rebounds or passes that we wouldn’t think possible if we didn’t see it happen!

Taya joined us in 2022 in our U15 Whites team. Last year, Taya played up an age group in our U17 Blues team and this year is our Vice Captain for the U17 Premier team. We are so proud of how far you have come Taya 🙌🏻

We love having you at the wickers, can’t wait to see you reach 100 games! ✨

That’s a wrap for our Outer East and South East home and away season! Well Done to our East, Premier and Senior teams on finishing up the season.

Couldn’t have asked for a better outcome for our juniors and seniors with all 10 teams making it through to the first round of finals ✨

It’s the last round of the home and away season for our juniors in East & Premier and for our Seniors this Saturday. We are spread out across Kalora Park, Livingstone Reserve and Edwin Flack.

What a season it has been, the club, players and supporters have worked so hard to make this happen with many obstacles along the way. We are so proud of every single wicker, no matter what, your loyalty, positivity and great netball has been amazing to witness.

Committee Meetings are once a month on a Monday night where we discuss all things Berwick Netball Club. There’s plenty of roles for example uniform coordinator, equipment coordinator, sponsorship coordinator, first aid coordinator, indoor coordinator and many more. There are many tasks that committee members help out with on our game days to make it run efficiently. We have created a great atmosphere and environment here at BNC and we look forward to continuing to have that in 2025!!

Wicker of the Week for Round 17 goes to Steve Santamaria (aka Santa)

Santa has always been a loyal wicker. After recently undergoing shoulder surgery it was great to have him back running the courts with his confident umpiring.

Santa showed amazing sportsmanship with another clubs umpire, he ensured she felt protected from some over zealous spectators and players. We know that this is second nature to Santa and he wouldn’t think anything of it, which is a testament to his character.

We love that you are always looking after others Santa and we are so grateful that you choose the Wickers, we appreciate all you do and all you bring Santa💙🤍

🏐 ROUND 17 & 18 RESULTS 🏐

A very competitive round for our junior and senior teams. We had some close games that showed how much we have improved this season. Well done to all of our players for getting out there and giving 110%. It was a great day for B grade coming away with the win in a very close game.

Special mention to our U13, U15 and U17 West teams for making it through to finals this weekend.

🏐Round 17 for the seniors and Round 18 for the juniors mark the final matches for our U13, U15, and U17 West teams before the finals. All other teams still have one more round to play before their own finals commence.

Join us at Officer Recreation Reserve to watch our juniors face off against the competitive ROC.

Meanwhile, teams B, C, and D will compete at Carlisle Park against Berwick Springs and Hampton Park in the second-to-last round of the SENL season.

💙 Makayla Clarke | 50 Games 🤍

Congratulations to Makayla Clarke on reaching 50 games for BNC! Mak has grown and developed as a player, such a beautiful Wicker Chick who lives our values on and off the court.

Makayla has been playing for the wickers for many years but joined the outdoor league in 2022, where she became a premiership player. Mak has worked so hard to be where she is now, always listening and taking on feedback, which has seen her develop into a strong mid court player in whatever role she is given. We are so proud of you, and have loved watching you play up in our U17’s this year.

We love having you at the wickers Mak, can’t wait to see you reach 100 games as a Wicker Chick 🙌🏻

💙 Tamia Fullman | 50 Games 🤍

Congratulations to Tamia Fullman on reaching 50 games for BNC! We love seeing Tam’s work rate on court, such a confident holding shooter with an amazing shot, Tam’s leadership on court is phenomenal and her team mates know when she has that ball in her hands it will be used well.

Tamia first came over to the wickers in 2022 as a defender, she is now one of our star shooters, bringing accuracy & volume to our U15 West & U17 Prem teams. Tamia is a premiership player, umpire and coach, we are so proud of everything Tam has achieved so far, excited to see where Tam’s netball journey takes her.

Congratulations to Blessed Wilson on reaching 50 games for BNC! Bless is a natural leader and one of our most consistent and reliable players, Bless has an amazing read of the play and epic timing in defence. Bless definitely has all the Wicker values and plays the game the way it should be played.

Blessed joined us in 2022 and is now a premiership player, captain of our U15 West side, umpire and coach. We value you so much at the Wickers Bless, for all you bring as a player, coach & umpire, but also for the beautiful human you are.

Wicker of the Week for Round 16 goes to Emily Walden🙌🏻
Em has done so much work as Umpire Coordinator, keeping a positive and respectful environment for our young umpires and also doing all of the milestone games this year. We appreciate everything you do Em💙🤍

🏐 ROUND 16 & 17 RESULTS 🏐

Another great round of netball for our juniors and seniors we were so lucky to have so many teams at home . We had a great Wicker crowd for our last season home game, they provided a great atmosphere, helped us celebrate some special milestone players and really helped get some tight netball games over the line.

All teams did us proud today and played the wicker way. It was great to see players digging deep and giving their all, playing their role & supporting their team mates. Special mention to B grade, riddled with injuries they still managed to put together some of the best netball we have seen from them this season by coming together as a team and really working with each other to come away with a hard fought draw that had us all in the edge of our seats.

Well done Wickers, only a couple more rounds till finals and we have given ourselves every opportunity to be in finals contention across all teams.

Tomorrow, 9 of our teams are playing at home, taking on Beaconsfield, Hampton Park and Vic Samoa.

Our U17 Prem are heading to Kalora Park to take on Narre Warren.
