The PARC Swim STAR Program is a free program, allowing you to become a qualified Swim Teacher, and get paid while you undergo your training!

What’s included in the STAR Program?

✅ Swimming and Water Safety Teacher Course – paid for

✅ Working With Children Check – paid for
✅ Paid water and training placement hours to become a qualified Swim Teacher
✅ Offer of employment as a Swim Teacher with PARC at the conclusion on your program!

You’ve asked and we’ve delivered,- we are thrilled to announce some major updates to our gym equipment.

We’ve made a major investment to ensure your fitness experience is top-notch and what you’ve asked for. Look out as we add new machines and more of your favourite equipment.

Our refit will take place between 26 – 28 August, but our gym floor will continue to be fully operational with minimal disruptions as we swap out the old equipment for the new equipment

We have partnered with Rotary Peninsula 2.0 to help raise funds for baby swim programs in our community, with $45 of every contribution going straight back to PARC and PINES to help more children build confidence in the water. 💦🌊🏊‍♀️

Is someone you know expecting a baby this year? Any child born in 2024 can join the birth tree, cementing them as a part of the Frankston community.

With only 20% of children in our local community currently gaining ongoing vital survival skills which could save their life, we can ensure through the Birth Tree program that our Frankston community can learn and be safe around water.

We celebrated the wins with our team and partners who were integral to both our community impact programs and Shannon's award win over afternoon tea. We are so proud to able to deliver accessible and inclusive programs for all people in Frankston to be active, and safer around water.

We’ve already seen some seriously impressive results for our Be Your Own Olympian challenge and we’ve still got a week to go! 💚💛🏆

There’s still plenty of time to get involved, with places still to be won on our cycling leaderboard. Make sure to take part in one of our cycling group exercise classes this week so you can record your result. 🚴‍♀️

🛟 Life Saving Victoria’s Pool Lifeguard Challenge 2024 🛟

Last month four of our Lifeguards competed in the annual Pool Lifeguard Challenge at MSAC. We haven't competed in the challenges since 2018 and we are so proud of our PARC team for finishing in 10th place out of 21 teams. 🏁

This year's event was extra special as it took place on 25th July, coinciding with Drowning Prevention Day. It was a long day filled with team races and a mix of dry and wet scenarios, and our team performed exceptionally well through it all.

We’d like to congratulate Adele, Bailey, Isabella and Chelsea for all their hard work, teamwork and preparation and a big thanks to our Operation leaders Gaston and Liam for helping organise our PARC team for the day. 🫶😊

🍝🍟 August Cafe Special 🍟🍝

Our Cafe team have cooked up a treat for everyone this month with their new delicious special, hearty Lasagne!

Served with a side of chips for $12, this special is a fantastic winter warmer dish, perfect to enjoy after your workout or swim.

How cute are these little PARC Swim Olympians! 🥇🫶

To celebrate the Olympics in Paris, our PARC Swim team organised mini games and challenges for our PARC Swim members to participate in during lessons this week. 💚💛

PARC Swim students have also received a medal and their own Olympic photo op with our Hydro to celebrate. 👏

We wanted to shout out one of our members who has been smashing her PT sessions with Carol and has found a new love for weight training. 💪

Courtney was an avid cardio class girl but decided to take the plunge and dabble in a little weight training with the professional guidance of a PT. Working together with Carol, one of our loved trainers, she has seen big improvements in her mental and physical wellbeing.

Congratulations Courtney for all your hard work and being consistent in working towards your goals. 🎉👏👏🎉

Carol holds a certification in Training Menopausal and Perimenopausal Women and runs both PT sessions and Small Group training sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
