Ix Chex, the Maya Goddess of Women , the Moon and Medicine. She is most commonly depicted in one of her three main phases; Maiden, Mother and Crone. In her crone phase she carriers a clay vessel of water. It is said that when in a good mood she pours blessings upon the earth, when vexed she sends forth storms, floods and hurricanes. The resurgence of feminine consciousness was predicted by the Maya to begin in 2012. Ix Chel was largely forgotten, but thanks to Rosita Arvigo, Ix Chel has become the patroness of the Arvigo®️lineage, and no longer forgotten. The rabbit is a symbol of fertility, abundance and the sign of a new beginnings. In ancient cultures, snakes were a symbol of wisdom and medicine; understanding illness and caretaking. The continual skin shedding of snake skin, also symbolises rebirth and renewal.
