Brilliant question Sami! I can tell you right now, a lot of my clients said the same thing BEFORE they tried it, and now that absolutely LOVE it.
There is heaps of advantages to training remotely;
Convenience: Clients can participate from the comfort of their own home or ANYWHERE in the world! This eliminates the need to travel.
Flexibility: Livestream sessions can be scheduled at times that are convenient for both the client and the trainer, allowing for more flexibility in scheduling compared to in-person sessions.
Access to Expertise: Livestream personal training allows clients to access expert trainers from anywhere in the world, regardless of their location.
Cost-Effective: Livestream personal training is more cost-effective than traditional in-person training, as it eliminates the overheads in-person has with rent, insurance, petrol, etc.
Customization: Just like in-person training, livestream personal training sessions can be tailored to meet the individual needs and goals of each client.
Accountability: Livestream personal training provides clients with a level of accountability similar to in-person training.

Today's questions is from Ben. He asks. "I am looking to enter the 12km City to Surf and I want to do well. What do you recommend?" πββοΈπͺ
Hey Ben! Great to see that you have a particular goal that you are aiming for. While I highly recommend that we arrange a personalised program for you, because everyone is different, to help kickstart your journey, try some Long Distance running. Build your endurance with weekly long runs, gradually increasing distance. Try to aim for at least one 10-12km run per week to simulate race conditions.
Also incorporate some Interval Training into your routine. Improve speed and stamina with interval runs. Incorporate intervals of high-intensity sprints followed by periods of active recovery to boost your pace and cardiovascular fitness.
This is just a couple of things to get yourself started. We would need to include strength training in your training regime as well.
Most importantly, remember to listen to your body, stay hydrated, and fuel up with nutritious foods to support your training efforts. With dedication, consistency, and the right training plan, you'll be ready to conquer the City to Surf run like a champ! π

Any pain, no matter the severity, needs to be looked at. Generally, when we experience pain, that is our body telling us that something is not right.
The first steps to most pain would be to get it assessed to diagnose what exactly is the problem. Is it a sharp pain? A dull ache? There are plenty of great physios out there that will know what steps you should be taking.
While you wait, the old 'RICER' method is still the best approach.
