POST WORKOUT NUTRITION 🏋🏽♀️🥙
Appropriately nourishing your body after a workout helps to aid in recovery and promote positive physiological adaptations.
This week we are talking all about post workout nutrition and the 3 R’s.
R1: rehydrate 💧 - it’s time to replace the fluids you lost during your workout to aid in recovery and help digestion
R2: replenish 🥯- you’ve likely chewed through a decent chunk of your glycogen stores from your workout so it’s time to consume some more carbs to restore your levels
R3: rebuild 🥩 - when we undertake high intensity and resistance training we create micro tears in the muscle, by consuming enough protein we can provide the body with amino acids needed to repair and rebuilt those broken muscles 💪🏼

Pre workout nutrition! Let's talk about it 🤩
First of all, it's important to recognise that performance nutrition is not the same as general health nutrition.
Appropriately fuelling your sessions increases your available energy, can decrease the rate of perceived exertion and can delay fatigue. All of this works to improve your endurance and/or strength.
So what should we look for?
Low fibre/high GI carbs - these guys are generally higher in sugar and lower in fibre and are perfect for pre workout snacks as that sugar is going to be used as fuel!
Low fat - fat delays gastric emptying and can sometimes cause stomach upset before a big workout. No one wants that 🤢
Caffeine! My bestie!!!
Caffeine works to delay fatigue, improve alertness and decrease RPE. All of these things can work to boost performance and subsequent gains 💪

💙🎉 Today marks the second birthday of our gym, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the amazing trainers and owners who have helped make this place a success.
From the early mornings to late nights, our trainers have dedicated themselves to helping our members reach their fitness goals. Their passion, knowledge, and motivation have inspired us all to push ourselves harder and strive for greatness. We are so thankful for their hard work and commitment to helping us become the best versions of ourselves.
And of course, we can’t forget about our incredible owners who have poured their hearts and souls into creating a welcoming and supportive gym environment. Their vision, dedication, and leadership have set the foundation for our success, and we are so grateful for everything they do to make this gym a place we are proud to call our second home.
As we celebrate our second birthday, we want to take a moment to thank our trainers and owners for all they have done to make this gym the amazing place it is today. Here’s to many more years of success, growth, and fitness achievements together!
We teamed up with for our 8 week challenge, and ran our first radio competition called “generation transformation”. These 3 very lucky ladies all got through and represented their generations. All 3 of these lovely ladies were so consistent and worked so hard. All loosing body fat, gaining muscle, but also moving better, whilst having fun and meeting some new friends along the way. So well done ladies, we are proud of you all🩵🏆🎉👏🏼
