In 2024 alone, 28 women in Australia tragically lost their lives to domestic violence. These stories are devastating, but there's an often-overlooked crisis: the hundreds of thousands of children silently witnessing these horrors.
Meet Tanya. At 22, she was a young mother of three, struggling to support her family and escape a violent past. With the support of Jannawi's Family Program, Tanya received the assistance she needed, although her trauma resulted in her children being placed in care. Jannawi continued to offer therapy visitations with her children and provided parenting guidance. Tanya began to heal and rebuild her relationship with her children.
As we approach the financial year-end, we ask for your support. Jannawi relies on the generosity of donors like you to fund our programs. Your donation will directly impact the lives of families struggling with the trauma of domestic violence. Help us ensure that mothers like Tanya can heal and create safe, loving homes for their children.
