Future2 is excited to announce that applications for the 2024 Make the Difference! grants program are now open.
This year’s grants program will focus on improving financial wellbeing across Australia through four key areas:
1. Financial Wellbeing for Young Australians
2. Financial Wellbeing for Australians in Need
3. Financial Wellbeing for Women
4. Financial Wellbeing for those in Regional and Remote Australia
We invite financial services professionals to nominate a cause close to their heart for the Make the Difference! grants program.

2023 Grant Recipient, Helping People Achieve, is empowering students aged 12-25 with disabilities in Darwin, providing them with the same opportunities as their peers in larger cities.
The Future2 grant will enable HPA to run 5 programs in 2024, assisting 40 young Australians through a 4-week employment workshop. This program is designed to equip participants with essential workplace skills and open doors to future opportunities.

🎓 Empowering the Next Generation of Youth Leaders! 🌟
Youth Leaders are young people aged 18-25 whose veteran parent(s) lost their lives due to military service.
The Youth Leaders Mentor program is dedicated to nurturing wellbeing, building confidence, and fostering a strong sense of belonging.
The 2023 Future2 grant will enable the Youth Leaders to gain valuable skills in therapeutic crisis intervention so that they can provide support to young Australians in need.

Here's a fantastic update from one of our 2023 grant recipients, Academic Clinics For Exceptional Students (Inc).
The Future2 grant supported the ACES Resources Hub, an online platform that provides essential resources for students with learning difficulties. This Hub breaks down financial and geographical barriers, ensuring that every student has access to the support they need.
Thanks to this project, children in need are gaining the knowledge and tools to overcome learning gaps and improve their overall wellbeing. 📚💡✨

2023 Grant recipient, Financial Superwomen, educates and empowers survivors of domestic violence to achieve financial security through their free workshops. Covering topics like financial hardship, money mastery, and insurance, they're making a tangible difference in people's lives every day.
Thanks to the Future2 grant, Financial Superwomen has successfully transitioned their workshops online, now reaching a significantly wider audience (nearly 350 women in total!)

The Byron Barbershop program aims to engage disadvantaged youth by designing and building a barbershop.
As many of you would know, starting a business isn’t one big decision. It’s hundreds of small decisions and therefore, the mentors guide the participants to:
1. Build their communication skills & understand how to achieve exceptional customer service;
2. Develop their financial literacy including how to manage their finances;
3. Learn operational skills including how to take care of their shop, interiors, and services;
4. Develop their knowledge around marketing and sales and;
5. Build their employment & life skills.
The 2023 pilot was extremely successful with 5 young men supported to re-engage with educational pathways, gain trade skills and receive mentoring from positive role models.
With the Future2 grant, an additional 20 disadvantaged young men will have the chance to turn their lives around.
Financial services professional and grant nominator, Shane Hayes, says "The Barbershop Program has been well thought out, designed and tested with significant youth involvement, allowing them the opportunity to play a real role in building their future."

Nominated by a financial services professional, Integra Service Dogs Australia received a 2023 Make the Difference! grant & with the funding, another service dog has been matched with an Australian in need.

Our first conversation features Yourtoolkit.com, a vital platform offering free web-based resources to support women escaping domestic violence. With over 4,000 weekly visits, Yourtoolkit.com plays a pivotal role in empowering survivors.
Did you know? Statistics reveal that between 78 and 99% of women facing domestic abuse are also subject to financial or economic abuse. The Future2 grant will contribute to the development of the financial resilience resources that are available on the website.
