It’s that time of year again folks! This year 36 of our finest men will be hitting the skies all the way to Cairns, Queensland for 4 days to take on Wanderers Cairns Seniors Rugby Union Club in a friendly on Saturday September 28th 🏉

This Saturday we will have a supporters bus going to TG Millner Field to the mens 1st and 2nd grade games departing from Coogee Diggers at 12:30pm. The cost is just $10 and tickets can be bought on the link in our bio. The bus will leave the stadium at 5:30pm returning back to Coogee Diggers for the after party 🕺🏻

Both our men’s teams will be playing in TG Millner Field, North Ryde this weekend with 2nd grade kicking off at 1:20pm and 1st grade kicking off at 3pm. Our women’s team will be playing there final at Wills Ground, Earlwood at 11:45am 🏉

This is the biggest weekend in the clubs history having our 2 men’s teams and women’s team all in the final so we ask you please to come down Saturday and support Sydney Irish in there finals. There will be a supporters bus going from Coogee and details will be up soon 🏆

History made as our women’s team came out victorious today against Lindfield and are through to the Joy Johnson Cup final next Saturday for the FIRST TIME EVER!!!

A fantastic achievement by the girls to also join the men’s teams next week in the finals ☘️

After a fantastic league campaign from our men’s and women’s teams we have both our men’s grades finishing top of there table with our women’s team finishing 2nd in there’s with all teams qualifying for finals 🏆

An unbelievable season so far for the club with a lot of work being put in since January from all players. Best of luck to all our Sydney Irish teams this weekend as they compete in there respective semi finals ☘️

This Saturday our men’s and women’s team will be fielding out for the very last time at home in Latham Park, South Coogee 🏉

This weekends crucial game against our good oul rivals Sydney Harlequins RFC is a massive double pointer game making up for the previous postponed match. So all teams will be looking to get a big win here. The women are up against a tough Hunters Hill Women’s Rugby at 1pm also 🏉

All 4 teams will be out in action this weekend so make sure you get yourself down to Latham Park to support the Irish. The bar will be open, the bbq will be firing and the rugby will be on point ☘️

Before each game we will be having a minutes silence and retiring the number 13 jersey to pay our respects to our late friend Sean Cremin.

It is with deep sadness we learn the passing of Sydney Irish RFC player Sean Cremin. Sean passed away peacefully around loved ones back home in Cork. Sean played with us at the start of this year and made a huge impact on and off the pitch. An outstanding rugby player and even better guy. He will be missed dearly throughout our club. Our condolences go out to his wife Caoimhe, his parents Tim and Louise, his brother Conor and all at Kanturk Rugby Club in Co. Cork. There is a mass for Sean this 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐖𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝟔𝐩𝐦 and we would kindly ask you to come and pay your respects.

January 13th we have our first taste of rugby for the 2024 season with the men’s pre season beginning and the women’s tag rugby event with a free BBQ for everyone after it 🍗

Men’s pre season is for anyone wanting to give rugby a go while getting fit and active. We will have teams for people wanting to play high standard and for beginners so there’s a place for everyone on the pitch 🏉

The Women’s Tag Rugby on January 13th is for all girls who have played before or who have never played before as we always take on beginners. This year we plan on having 2 women’s 10 a side teams, with one team for beginners and the other for the more advanced so there’s no excuse to give it a ‘try’ 💁🏻‍♀️

Men’s & Women’s pre season training will be on every Saturday at 9am and Wednesday at 6:45pm at Coogee Grant Reserve 💪🏼

Our women’s will be playing 10 a side rugby and also welcome players with or without experience. We are a social club that have players from all over the word playing with us, no matter what shape or size you are or what experience you have there is always a place for you with Sydney Irish RFC ☘️

Our women’s rugby team will be back up and running very soon looking to continue there success from last year. This upcoming season the girls will be playing 10 a side rugby. We are currently recruiting for our women’s team so if you’re interested in giving rugby a go come on down to one of our women’s events 🏉

We have a sunset social swim on Wednesday 20th December at 7pm and we are welcoming all new girls to come down 🌅 We will then be having tag rugby on the 13th January in Coogee Grant Reserve for all girls interested with pre season training then starting on the 20th January 🏉
