π Weekly Training Recap! π
This Tuesday, our St John Sydney Uni Division went full Aussie mode with a session on bites and stings π·π, perfect for the lead-up to snake season which starts in September. We didnβt just learn about these creepy crawlies; we got hands-on with first aid treatment too! From pressure immobilisation to keeping calm under pressure (when you really just want to scream), we practiced key skills to provide the best first-aid care.
Our presentation was so fire that the fire alarm went off! π₯π¨ Next thing we knew, the fire brigade was crashing our training session π.

Welcoming our new Superintendent Tym π₯³!
Last week, we were thrilled to officially welcome Tym as our new Sydney University Divisional Superintendent (OIC) π! Since joining St John NSW in 2019, Tym has held various leadership roles, including Stores Officer, Operations Officer, and Division 2IC π. These experiences have given him a deep understanding of managing both the operational and strategic facets of our division π. Tym has also played a key role in training and member engagement, ensuring our volunteers are always prepared and motivated π . He brings fresh ideas and a strong commitment to further developing the Sydney University Divisionπ‘.
We also farewell Reagan, who has been an amazing leader of our division for over 2 years π. Luckily this isn't goodbye, as he steps into another exciting role at St John NSW as Sydney Central Hub Leader π.
Congratulations to both Tym and Reagan!
