On Monday 17 June, members of the Chancellor's Committee were pleased to attend the Industry Night hosted by Sydney Motorsport - USYD. This night enabled the Committee to be updated with the progress of Motorsport's latest vehicle.

The President, Janette Lakiss, was delighted to give a speech to mark the occasion.

The Chancellor's Committee is proud of the links we have with Sydney Motorsport, as well as with the USYD Rocketry Team and Sydney UAV Engineering.

Our thanks go to Sydney Motorsport for hosting us.

Chau Chak Wing Museum, University Place, Camperdown
The Nicholson Collection at the Chau Chak Wing Museum maintains an incredibly rare and significant archive of glass plate negatives that capture the landscapes, archaeological sites and village life of Greece between 1890 and 1910, taken by former curator William J.Woodhouse. When traversing the mountain passes of Aetolia, visiting the monasteries of Meteora, surveying the ancient remains of the Peloponnese or enjoying Easter festivities on the Pnyx at Athens, Woodhouse always had his camera at the ready. This lecture will explore Woodhouse’s legacy at the Nicholson Museum and reflect on the ongoing flickr project to document the collection.

The Chancellor's Committee is ready for an exciting 2023 with many exciting announcements to come!

To end a strong 2022, our Chancellor's Committee Afternoon Tea in December saw presentations from the Chancellor, as well as the University Rocketry and Motorsports teams showcasing their excellent work, which the Committee continues to support.

We look forward to continuing to support the University community into 2023.

As you can see from this photo taken yesterday afternoon when the doors closed, most of the books we had on the tables have gone to new homes.

The Chancellor’s Committee looks forward to seeing you at the 2023 Book Fair.

Keep an eye out for details.
