TheRail CricketClub
The Rail Cricket Club was established in 1977 and its home ground is at Croome Rd Sporting Complex Albion Park Rail.
The Rail Cricket Club was first established in 1977. In our first season the club fielded a second grade and 2 third grade teams. The inaugural Club President was Neil Wilson, with Stan Thorburn the secretary. The first Razorback team to compete in the top grade was led by Barry Clapson in the 1982/83 South Coast season. Barry Clapson led the team to the final that season but in the following 1983

TEAM OF THE MONTH ANNOUNCEMENT!!!
The Rail Cricket Club would like to announce its November Senior team of the month for the 2023/2024 season, which is proudly sponsored by Albion Park Bowling Club.
Congratulations to all that have been picked we hope you continue your form through out the year and hopefully the weather eases off for the rest of the year!
1st Grade Monthly wrap- 1st Grade are still Currently top of the table after the rainy month of November. They came away with 1 win and 1 loss for month and they also had 2 washouts. Round 5 was a washout and in Round 6 a great team win against Shellharbour saw the team chase down 260 for the win which was sealed by a beautiful leg glance for 6 by Zac Heffernan. Dylan Rae was in sublime touch again scoring with 81 while Hayden Church and Adam Ison chipped in with 50 and 41 respectively. Round 7 saw a tough loss to arch rivals Lake Illawarra going down by 55 runs. Dylan was at it yet again with 55 and 3/30 with the ball. Kieran Gilly got a well made 58 while Brad Ison and Hayden Bagoly got 2 wickets each. The t20 comp also started against Lake Illawarra with the boys going down by 18 runs and it was Kieran and Dylan in the runs again with 68 and 46 each. Dylan Also picked up 2/25 off his 4 overs.
2nd Grade Monthly wrap- 2nd Grade currently sit in 6th spot after starting the year with a win but have lost the last few games but have gone down fighting in some closely contested matches! Joel Willstrop and Mick Kearns have been standouts with the bat both scoring multiple 50 plus scores while the ever reliable John Puckeridge has been chipping in with bat and ball each week. No doubt a few more wins for second grade are on there way as they have showed plenty of passion and fight each week and been in every contest!
2nd Grade Monthly wrap- 2nd Grade had a similar month to 1st grade with 1 win, 1 loss and 2 washouts. Round 6 saw the Rail win by 77 runs against the Kookas in a great team result. Colin Yeaman lead the way with a classy knock of 80 while Kal Polusen put in a all-round performance of 45no and 4/27 with the ball, great work Kal! Round 7 saw a tough loss to Albion Park going down by 9 wickets but John Puckeridge (31) and Captain Evan Horvat (29no) showed some resistance with the bat but were bowled out for 139.
3rd Grade Monthly wrap- It must be the month for 1 win, 1 loss and a washout as 3rd Grade followed suit with 1st and 2nd grade. Round 6 saw The Rail get a 3 wicket win over Oak flats. Graham Tripp took 3fa with the ball and Josh Tracey chipped in with 2 wickets. Skipper Paul Davie lead the chase from the front with 54no to get them across the line. Round 7 saw tough loss against Lake losing by 7 wickets. The shining light with the bat was Josh Tracey with a great knock of 83 while Darren Anshaw and Jaye Ritchie with 35 and 31 each.
November was a better month for the two Women's teams and both recorded wins. The Black team is undefeated and had 3 wins and a washout for the month and the highlight would be in round 3 with the team making an amazing 243 runs in 20 overs lead by Carlie Gilly who got 105no and was well supported by Lilly (60no) and Tanya (46no). The Girls recorded a 64 run win over lake in round 4 and a 67 run win over the red team in round 5 but the Red team amazing lost 0 wickets in the run chase.
The Ladies Red team got their first win last week with an 8 wicket win over Lake. The girls have been close each win and got the win they deserved after playing some great cricket in the month! Skipper Tammie Croker has been on fire with the bat averaging 121 and well supported by Pamela Evans who is averaging 114 too! All the girls are chipping in each week and having a blast with some girls playing their first year.
Best of Luck to all teams for the next Month of cricket.

TEAM OF THE MONTH ANNOUNCEMENT!!!
The Rail Cricket Club would like to announce its First Senior team of the month for the 2023/2024 season, which is proudly sponsored by Albion Park Bowling Club.
Congratulations to all that have been picked we hope you continue your form through out the year!
1st Grade Monthly wrap- 1st Grade Currently sit top of the table after 3 wins and 1 loss to start the year and are coming off two strong bonus point victories. The year started with a loss but the boys have bounced back in emphatic style which has been lead by our two opening batters Dylan Rae and Hayden Church and our new young gun Andy Chie. Dylan and Hayden sit top of the competition run scorers list while Andy tops the most wickets taken after his brilliant 5fa on the weekend. The Highlight of the month is probably the twin centuries from Dylan (129) and Hayden (147) who put on an opening run stand of 272 against Albion Park in Round 3. 1st grade have a few harder games in the next few weeks and will be looking to continue their dominance.
3rd Grade Monthly wrap- 3rd Grade are in the top 4 after the first Month of cricket. 3rd grade started the year with a win and a forfeit and then a close loss last round against the kookas which sees them in a nice position heading into the next month of cricket. Darren Anshaw has lead the way with the bat while new club member Josh Tracey has been taking wickets up front with a great 5fa to start the year. Mitch Wood is also an honorable mention with ball after taking 4/18 in his first match on the weekend. 3rd grade will be looking to continue with their nice run of form into the next month and hopefully those young kids can help the Old boys out in the field.
Unfortunately there has only been One ladies game played for our ladies Black side and a bye and a washout for the Red team. The Ladies black side started off with a great 7 wicket win over Kiama in round 1 with a great team effort on display. Carlie Gilly lead the way with the bat with 34no and showed Brett who the power hitter out of them is, well done girls.
Best of Luck to all teams for the next Month of cricket.
Up the Razorbacks!!! 🏏
ROUND 4 TEAM ANNOUNCEMENTS!

First grade are looking to back up a massive batting performance again this week against Bomaderry at Croome. The Performance was lead by Dylan Rae and Hayden Church who both made impressive centuries last week. They no doubt rewrote the record books with a 272 run opening partnership, great work boys! Also a massive congratulations to Hayden as it was his first 100. First grade will also be looking to make it 3 wins on the trot.
Second grade will look to make it back to the winners circle this weekend against Shellharbour after a fighting effort will last week playing short. Joel and Evan will be looking to lead from the front with the bat again after an impressive 82 and 77no each.
3rd grade are taking on Kookas away and will also be looking to bounce back after a loss last week. Captain Paul Davie will be looking to add runs and wickets again this week and Josh Tracey will be no doubt swinging the ball around again this week after taking another 2 wickets to back up his 5fa performance round 1.
