Formula Electric Belgium Formula Electric Belgium is a team of engineering students that design and build electric racecars!

We are proud to present you the design of our new e-car! No less than 4173 parts were assembled in a 3D model. With a weight of 200kg and an acceleration from 0 to 100km/h in 2.7 seconds, the UMICORE LUNA will be a strong competitor at the Formula student competition in the summer of 2015. Come and see the real car at the end of May when we present the car to the general public! Watch our design movie at our new page!

To all our followers, partners and fans;
From now on Formula Group T and Thomas More Innovation will merge to form Formula Electric Belgium. We will participate in the Formula Student competitions as the only electric Belgian team in the summer of 2015. With Formula Electric Belgium we want to rise to the next level of performance!

To ensure the safety of our car, testing is crucial. Nick and Thomas made some test pieces of the different structures that they are going to use in the carbon monocoque in co-operation with our partner Sonaca.

We are selected for the Formula Student UK competition! At the beginning of July you can find us at the Silverstone circuit!

Did you know that we need about 900kg of aluminium for the manufacturing of our car?! Dejond Metals provides us with excellent quality, giving us the opportunity to build a lightweight car!

The monocoque of our new car starts to appear!
This shape will be used for the manufacturing of the carbon fiber chassis. Many thanks to Twinplast for their support!

Make It Work gives students the chance to experience what it is like to choose for a career in the science and technology sector. Our car June definitely inspired some of them!

Welkom op Make IT Work is een gratis wetenschapsproject voor middelbare scholen Een gratis project waar scholieren in 4 stappen zelf ervaren wat het is te kiezen voor een carrière in de wetenschaps- of technologiesector.

Today we give workshops to students about e-mobility and our engineering project in coöperation with our partner Lacom.

Also our partners work towards sustainability. Congratulations to Bel&Bo to be the first big store chain in Belgium to join the Fair Wear Foundation.

This evening we visited our Dutch colleague team Formula Student Team Delft to see their design presentation! It looked awesome!

Today Eve is present at Mazak to meet people from the milling industry!

We had a great visit from Inken, a colleague from HAWKS Racing e.V.! Nice to share ideas among people with the same passion!

Teambuilding at Red-Fox Paintball !

Yesterday, three team members made a trip to Cologne for a 'OptiStruct Composites Modeling & Optimization' training provided by Altair HyperWorks. The software skills they acquired will come in handy when designing and optimizing the monocoque and different carbon fiber lay-ups. Once again, we will be able to decrease the total mass of our car.
