We develop a revolutionary concept were the two cargo boats are connected, one of them driving and the second being semi-autonomous.

This is the very first post for you all, from Hybrid Logistics.

Each year in group-T, in the second year, there is a course called 'management game', this is the reason we participated in the Ecorace Challenge. The course ended yesterday with a little competition between the student-teams. We had to compete against the two other bachelor-boat teams and had to explain our businessplan to a jury. This same jury chose our businessplan as the winner! After all the work on our boat and our businessplan, it feels great to be rewarded (the pineapple on the photo is our prize!)

We arrived at the race, now a little bit of testing and this afternoon the first races!

Today we (almost) finished the boat by putting stickers of our sponsors on it. But this is not the only thing: we also named our boat Nehalennia. Named after a Germanic goddess of the sea, travelers and merchants.

Today we went to Mechelen to test our boat, we did a couple of test runs like slalom and sprint for the race next week and it went great!

Today we had to present our businessplan to the jury of the race, we did this via a videocall. We are satisfied with how it went and are looking forward to the race!

Past sunday we finished the coating of our boat, we also put together all of the boxes and made plans for the steering-panel!

This week we had one of the most important deadlines: we had to submit our businessplan. In there we had to explain how our boat should be sold, what plans we have with it and how much the project would yield. Our 'line' of boats is called modulo one and max, named after our modular cargo system!

This is how we want our boat to look like after the painting and with our cargo-system, painting should be done soon and the boxes are almost built!

Last weekend we finished putting fiberglass on the edge of the boat, we did this so that the inner layer of the composite material is protected against water. Next thing to do: paint!
