The summer “Support Your Parks” weekend is just around the corner, July 20-21! Do you have any plans yet?
This event happens seasonally, on the 3rd full weekend of the month (Saturday & Sunday UTC). These are ‘activity weekends’ where the main purpose is to get out in the parks, and have as much fun as possible.

The American Radio Relay League (ARRL) / Radio Amateurs of Canada (RAC) Field Day is held
annually during the fourth full weekend in June. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, June 22
and Sunday, June 23, beginning at 2:00 PM Saturday and running until 2:00 PM Sunday.

Jamboree On The Air (JOTA) is this weekend, October 21/22. The Barrie Amateur Radio Club will be fielding 4 Ham radio stations throughout Scouts Canada Camp Wildman giving youth the opportunity to get on the air with other youth from North America and beyond. Our call sign for the weekend is VA3JOTA
Muster point CIBC Run for the Cure comms
This Sunday, October 1,2023, The Barrie Amateur Radio Club will be out at the CIBC Run for the Cure in Barrie assisting the organizers by monitoring participants throughout the run and walk and providing communications to summon first responders if required. Drop by our tent at Heritage Park and say hello. We’ll be there from 9:00 am till about noon.

Please join us for what should be a very information presentation. ALL are welcome to attend.
