What to write to seniors:
🦦Do you have any pets? The seniors love to read about your pets and what you've been up to together whilst staying at home for the last couple of months.
🦊As we start to get some warmer weather, are you noticing any changes? The trees are green and plants are flowering! You could even draw or paint the scene that you describe!
😊Simply ask them how they are doing. Ask them to reflect on the last couple of days and make a list of all the positive things that have happened to them. You could even start them off by making the same list for yourself. Some ideas are the sun is shining, I enjoyed a delicious meal, or I spent time with my family
😄Taylor wrote in one of her cards "remember, there is always a reason to smile." Phrases like this are great for encouraging the seniors to have a positive mindset.
🦉When was the last time that you wrote someone a letter? Do you write letters frequently or is this the first time you have written one in a while? Ask them when was the last time that they wrote a letter and who did they write to?
