Did you know that a new CSA standard, CSA B56, is on the horizon? This standard will outline the operational requirements for boiler and mechanical rooms across Canada. The draft, titled "CSA B56 Power Engineering – Facility Rating and Staffing (1st Edition)," is now available for public review.

You have the opportunity to influence this standard, as the review period is open until October 20, 2024. We encourage you to review the draft and submit your comments. Given that the ACI and the provincial regulators are involved in this committee, their potential adoption of this standard could significantly impact practices across the country.
