Did you know that Brackley Bay Oyster Company is the proud caretaker of one of PEI’s oldest surveyed leases? Dating back to the 1920s, this legacy started with Lorne and Edith MacMillan, true pioneers in their community. Lorne—a skilled farmer, builder, and oyster grower—crafted homegrown solutions for every challenge, while Edith taught at the local schoolhouse and made her mark with delicious pickles and preserves.
Today, Brackley Bay Oyster Company carries on their legacy, cultivating some of PEI’s finest oysters with the same dedication and care. Raise a shell to history and quality, one oyster at a time!
