An amazing opportunity to get your seedlings and contribute to the community!

This is one of the other non-profits we mention often during workshops!

Spring has sprung, and it's time to celebrate the arrival of the harvest season at Urban Roots London! We're excited to invite you to our much-anticipated Seedling Sale Fundraiser and Opening Season Event, marking the beginning of another fruitful year of growth and abundance.

Get Ready to kickstart your gardening season with our premium selection of healthy and vibrant seedlings! Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just starting out, we have something for everyone!

Our Seedling presale is officially open (https://forms.gle/aWAFBeVyFouj6KdT9) and as a special treat, we're offering a 10% discount if you sign up for 10 or more seedlings! Seedlings can be picked up at the event on May 11th!

Did you know that mushroom growth is a sign of rich soil? It also may mean that we’re watering a tiny bit too much! 🍄 💧

They’re harmless to the plant and can be plucked, just ensure no pets or children eat them!

04/04/2024

Here’s how you can make seedling pots using only a glass and newspaper! 🗞️🌱

Stay tuned for our May workshop when we transplant these plants!

Day 8 Update- WELL

We had a whoopsie 😬 with the dill, but it’s very forgiving and likely will continue to grow!

Also realized some peppers were mislabelled, and they are definitely cucumbers! 🥒 The cucumber seedlings are growing fast and will be moved to another location so they can continue to grow!

Peppers 🫑 take anywhere from 7-21 days to germinate, so we’ll keep patient!

You can also see our bean🫛 plants growing FAST 🤭 A great example of why beans are usually planted directly outdoors!

Here’s your reminder to check on your seedlings too!! Make sure they stay moist, get as much light as you can provide, and rotate often to keep it upright!

Happy Saturday!!🎉 Here’s your reminder to check on your seedlings! 🌱

Here’s our Day 4 update on the seedlings we started at our workshop Tuesday!

It’s been a cloudy week ⛅️ , meaning less sun ☀️ , and less need to water 💧 so today is our first water since seeding! We can see our marigolds are stretching for light and appear “leggy”. We may need to look into extra light if the sun doesn’t join us soon! 💡

Our cucumbers have been enthusiastic to pop out from the soil! Herbs 🪴(like parsley, dill, and basil), and peppers 🫑 take a while longer to sprout, hopefully they’ll make an appearance our next update!
