So often, and with the best of intentions, we set ourselves up for failure.
We become frustrated with our lack of activity, we recognize the need for change and we vow to make those changes. We join a gym or buy a program and start training 5 days a week. We cut out all food that gives us pleasure. Then we falter. We canโ€™t maintain the schedule; we cave in and have a slice of pizza. We then beat ourselves up for โ€˜failingโ€™ and give up.

Stop the failure cycle and start setting yourself up for success. Make incremental changes. Set small, attainable goals. Commit to one or two training sessions a week. Instead of eliminating โ€˜badโ€™ food, add some healthy food. Start celebrating what you did do instead of what you didnโ€™t do.

Eventually small changes lead to new habits and new habits lead to big change. Donโ€™t concern yourself with yesterday or tomorrow. Todayโ€™s the day.
