Anyone with a significant amount of muscle has spent a significant amount of time obsessing over gaining that muscle. It wasn’t an accident, it didn’t happen overnight.

The fastest way to make your body look “toned” and be leaner is by performing heavy multi-joint movements (i.e. squatting , pressing, deadlifts etc.)

From fear to confidence, difficult to easy, incompetent to competent - it’s the process that gives life meaning, that prevents boredom and burnout. It builds healthy self-esteem, which prevents unhealthy habits. Gaining new competence in any skill, such as lifting, enhances your confidence in all other areas.

Just a week 1 recap...

Thank you everyone who used the gym this past week. You are all doing amazing following protocol and being respectful and patient with each other and our team 🙌.
⠀⠀
Our capacity management system showed that the gym averaged about 7 people in there at a single time (850 sf per person). It peaked with 22 people in the gym one evening (300 sf per person). Still well within the government regulations of 50 people.
⠀⠀
Because of WFH we’re noticing a bit more balance between daytime and evening traffic which is great. The 24 hour access helps disperse people and respect social distancing.
⠀⠀
The average visit was approx 2 hours in the gym. Members, thank you for being efficient with your workouts!
⠀⠀
We’ve also switched from paper towel to microfibre cloth. We purchased enough for each member to take one to reuse and keep clean. We think this is an important step to help be safe and reduce garbage (our garbage was up 500% in one week!). This also helps respect social distancing because people aren’t wandering around the gym looking for paper towel.

We’ve added plenty more disinfectant spray bottles as well.
⠀⠀

We’re a private, 24/7 members only training facility. Members come and go as they please 24/7. No restrictions. No intense sales staff.
⠀⠀

If after the tour we’re a good fit and you want to take the next step to achieving your fitness goals then we’ll provide you with 24/7 access to all our resources and the training facility. Fact: Fortis Gyms have been social distancing since before COVID made it cool.
⠀⠀
There is 9ft between our squat racks (middle point) and we have 13 of them 😍.
⠀⠀
At peak training times each member has on average 250 sf per person and at non peak times +500 sf per person 💆‍♀️. FYI that’s the size of a condo in Toronto and well above the government mandated 43 sf per person required in retail stores.

We are really looking forward to seeing our members realize those post-COVID training gains when we re-open.
